Would Obama Have Ever Even Been Elected Senator Much Less The Potus With His Qualifications If He

What's the highest elected office, a naturlized citizen can hold?

They can hold any postion other than President or Vice President. Henry Kissenger, a naturalized citizen, was Secretary of State, which is the highest cabinet position and 4th in line to the Presidency.

I am not sure if House rules allow someone to be Speaker if they are not constitutionally qualified to be President. Or President Pro Tempore of the Senate. The Constitution does not bar naturalized citizens from holding either position. They would just be passed over in presidential succession in the unlikely event it came to that.

If elected president, should Hillary Clinton put Obama on the bench as a Supreme Court Justice like William Howard Taft got put on the bench?

I’ve answered this question elsewhere, but to paraphrase myself, it is highly unlikely for a number of reasons.Obama will likely want to have an outsized impact as an ex-President, like Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter have. His “value added” would be no different than any of the other 8 justices. So while he may be suited for it, its not the best place for his talents. It likely would be a divisive nomination - instead of a debate on his beliefs, it would give Republicans a chance to offer a public referendum on his presidency. There are others with his ideological leanings whose nomination would be much less politically expensive.Obama is a pretty popular Democrat. He will stay involved campaigning for causes and candidates he believes in. Despite what RBG just said about Trump, Obama couldn’t actively support, endorse, or campaign for another Democrat for the rest of his life. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Obama would have to recuse himself from dozens of cases in the following years if they pertain directly to laws passed, cases argued, or actions taken by his administration. Another Obamacare challenge? Recusal. This is simply not worth the risk.

Was Obama the most unqualified president?

President of the US is kind of a weird job. Most other jobs you can work your way up or move sideways. If you want to be a police chief you can be an asst chief first, or a chief someplace else first. With POTUS, there is no real preparation for leader of the free world.Sometimes you will see military leaders as the former job of a president. Zach Taylor, Andrew Jackson, Eisenhower, and Ulysses Grant were all generals who had no prior political experience before the presidency. If you believe the rumors, Zach Taylor claims to have never even voted until he was on the ballot. It is hard to say exactly at what point military experience is ‘enough’ to prepare for the presidency, but no one has been elected president with no political experience unless they were a general. Obviously, Obama wasn’t a general so this comparison isn’t legitimate. Most other presidents had prior experience as a politician. Since the country hadn’t existed for very long, we can exclude the experience of the founders. You can’t be a senator for long for example if the senate is only 5 years old. After the founders, most presidents were former cabinet members, governors, or the occasional VP. Funny enough, one of the least experienced presidents also hailed from Illinois. Lincoln served the same amount of time in the Illinois legislature as Obama (3 terms), and two years in congress. Lincoln was a representative while Obama was a senator. Interesting fact, Lincoln is the only man elected president whose highest political office was the house of representatives. I would say Obama’s qualifications would be slightly higher since the senate is the higher house of congress. However, the rules have since changed. The body of the constitution lists only 3 requirements for being president, and the 22nd amendment (kinda) created a 4th. Going only by the constitution, I could become president one day. The reason that I won’t is that I don’t have the experience needed for the job. However, there has been one president who has never been a general, or held any elected office prior to the president. That president has the fewest qualifications for this particular job because he has never led men into battle or worked to pass legislation. He has less political experience then either Lincoln or Obama. He has less military experience than Jimmy Carter or either Bush. I’d tell you that president’s name, but I’m pretty sure you know who it is.

What are the unofficial qualifications to run for president?

Here's my list so far. Did I miss anything?

1) Be someone people want to have a beer with (this will win you the moron vote, which is substantial)

2) Be rich and/or have friends who are media execs (or no one will know who you are, i.e. Gary Johnson)

3) Be a liar (Despite what they say, people actually are really uncomfortable with hearing the truth) hate the truth. One of the biggest mistakes you can do is tell people the truth)

4) Love big government (or the unions will paint you as a fascist child molesting monster as they fear losing the gravy train)

5) Hate the constitution (this pesky thing really gets in the way of running a massive empire. Unfortunately there are these 'radicals' who insist on keeping it around, but it can slowly be eroded over time if you can instill enough fear into people)

6) Be a christian, or at least pretend to be (the thought of a U.S. president who does not believe in an ancient myth about a murderous god of the desert really makes people question your morality. Because if you don't believe in these stories, you could be Satan, and who wants to elect Satan?)

What are some unofficial qualifications a candidate running for President should have?

They shouldn't have cancer or a cancerous past.
They shouldn't be allowed to hide their dark-skinned daughter in hopes that the racists will vote for them
They shouldn't be allowed to rant and whine about the media neglecting them
They shouldnt be allowed to make jokes that only they laugh at
They shouldnt be allowed to embellished their military experience
They shouldnt be allowed to say they stand for family values when they walked out on their handicapped wife

Is President Obama the least respected president ever?

I feel like there is very little respect for Obama. Now and through his whole presidency. He is clearly not the worst president of all time that dubious distinction goes to his predecessor but he sure as hell is treated as such. I don't think he is great by any means but it is sad to see the lack of respect people have for him. Honestly I think it is 100% because he is black. I think that after years of slavery, prejudices, racism and bias it is only natural for many people to maybe inherently view him as less of a man or a person or leader. I mean just look how aggressive people are being with him. Romney literally approaches him as an equal there is 0 sign of respect. Remember the senator who was up in the presidents face. Absolutely no respect. America clearly and truly was not ready for a minority president.

Obama has 147 days of WORKING in the Senate??? Palin is a Governor working for 2 FULL YEARS??????

It's easy to know that even Palin has more experience than "The One"....HAHAHA

It should be BIDEN/OBAMA....and not OBAMA/BIDEN.....

PATHETIC TICKET FOR THE DEMS ONCE AGAIN!!!!!!!

Can Barack Obama be senator or vice President after being the President?

Not sure why part of this question isn’t in English, but:Senator? Yes. Vice President? No, because to be Vice President, you have to be able to be President, which is a requirement Barack Obama will no longer be able to meet.EDIT: Hello again, friends. I suppose I need to get down to the nitty-gritty and explain that this loophole to the 2-term only rule that keeps appearing in the comment section does not actually exist. Here’s the low-down:The 22nd Amendment very specifically says that the maximum amount of time a person may serve as president is 10 years. However, that can only be achieved by assuming the presidency, such as Johnson did, when the President dies more than/exactly 2 years into a term. So if a president dies on January 21st, just barely two years after he was inaugurated, the VP can finish that term as acting president, then run twice him/herself. That’s the rule.Barack Obama cannot run as the Vice President because although the 22nd Amendment only says that he can’t be elected as President, it doesn’t matter, as it says he can only be President for two years other than his elected eight. For this to work, he would have to be instated as the VP two years into a President’s term, and then the president would have to miraculously die. The reason he would have to be instated after the presidency had already begun is because the 12th Amendment explains that a person may not be Vice President if they cannot be President. In short, Barack Obama cannot be VP now that he’s already been POTUS for two full terms. Besides the obvious political hurdles he’d have to jump to make it happen, most Constitutional scholars seem to agree that he’s ineligible for the Presidency now, and thus he is also ineligible for the Vice Presidency.
