Would Obama Have Made A Better Pope Than President

Who is more powerful president in the white house or pope in the Vatican?

The Pope.

Only 1 U.S. Pres. in WW2 called for a nuke.

That was when we where the only ones with a working nuke, and did not have to worry about nuclear doomsday.

The U.S. and U.S.S.R. have enough nuclear power to blow up the whole world 14 times over!

Has any U.S. president besides Obama faced outrageous accusations regarding his faith?

When Thomas Jefferson ran for President, his Federalist opponents warned that a Jefferson victory would result in Bibles being burnt and churches being converted into centers for philosophical debate. Some of Franklin Roosevelt's opponents accused him of being secretly Jewish and they called the New Deal the "Jew" Deal. And John F. Kennedy faced severe opposition in 1960 from those who thought that a Catholic President would follow instructions of the Pope.

I want to know what Mr President (Barak Obama)meant by the following passage in his address to UK parliament?

The last sentence of this excerpt means nothing to me!!!!???
I have known few greater honors than the opportunity to address the Mother of Parliaments at Westminster Hall. I'm told the last three speakers here have been The Pope, Her Majesty the Queen, and Nelson Mandela, which is either a very high bar or the beginning of a very funny joke.

If Obama gave me a strong recommendation letter, and I had average grades, could I get into Harvard?

I would say “not very likely”. I was on the Admissions Committee at my business school (MBA). While it was not Harvard, it is one of the other Top 5–10 business schools in the country, with very rigorous admissions criteria. While it was sometimes interesting to read the applicants’ recommendation letters, the recommendations were mainly used as a “swing vote” in the event that the applicant’s credentials, work history and application essays were not enough, on their own, to warrant admitting them. If someone had somewhat low GMATs, for example, but wrote great essays, had excellent work experience, did well in undergrad and seemed like an interesting person, I would read the recommendations and if they were strongly positive, I’d probably vote to admit them. That said, however, if the grades and test scores were just average, even if they had strong recommendations, I would be very reluctant to admit them because I know they would struggle to keep up with their classmates, especially since most of those classmates would have strong grades and test scores, etc.Why fixate on Harvard, though? Yes, it’s a very good school, especially for certain subjects, but it will likely not change your life any more than any other of the top 25 universities will. Also, if you have mediocre high school grades, at Harvard you will definitely be a very, very small fish in a very, very large pond…a pond that is filled with the brightest, shiniest, smartest and most intimidating fish in the world. In my opinion, you’d be better off going to a different school where you will be a larger fish in a smaller pond filled with other fish that are of similar academic calibre to you.Good luck!

What has President Trump done which supports his claim that he has “been tougher on Russia than any of the past 3 to 4 Presidents”?

Everything. 1 Armiing the Ukrainians which neither Bush or Obama did. 2 Increasing our own military modernization to match the Russian's efforts 3 Pressing Nato to INCREASE Their military spending against russia4 Identifying Russia( and China) by NAME as our principal National Security threats( against which our military spending should be measured against) which neither Bush nor Obama did5 Forward deployment and exercises regularly in Eastern Europe, the Baltics, and the Baltic Sea( which is where these “ buzzing “ incidents occur. 6 Agreeing to provide missle defense in Eastern Europe which Obama opposed 7. Closing down almost all Russian consulates ( ie Russian spy centers 8 pushing for more domestic energy production (surpassing Russia as the leading energy producer), having the effect of dropping oil and gas prices on the 2 largest export products of Russia damaging their economy 9 reimposing sanctions on Iran,a semi Russian ally/ client state 10. Breaking from the INF treaty which Russia has violated ( which Obama complained about but did nothing,as usual)11 Opposing the Russian gas pipeline to Western Europe- and this their dependence on moscow. I'm tired typing, but please remember the “ russian reset” aka less confrontation with Russia was an Obama/ Hillary Clinton initiative,NOT a Trump one. This” RUSSIA” business re Trump is FACTUALLY farcial as Trump is a US NATIONALIST which by definition means NOBODY'S puppet

Which group would be the least likely to become president?

A few years ago I would have said a black president! I am old enough to remember when people said Jack Kennedy could never be president because he was Catholic! In fact, long before that, people wouldn't stand for a Catholic VP candidate! If anything happened to the president, they said, he would take orders directly from the Pope.

Then they said a divorced man could never be president. But Reagan was divorced and it didn't matter at all. (Actually Reagan showed us we didn't even -need- a president. 8^< ).

I'd say of the ones you have there, probably a gay would have the least chance. If he was really openly, outrageously gay. But then there's a big difference between an Arab American like, say, Tony Shaloub, and a crazy guy with a turban, between a president who just doesn't believe in God and one who campaigns about religion being evil, etc.

Pope John Paul II never received the Nobel Peace Prize for his lifetime of peace work among all religions...?

....is it because the Nobel Peace Prize committee is bias and bigoted against Catholics? Or is it because we just don't always get what we deserve on Earth? Or another reason?
