Would She Be Counted As My Opponent

Why should you never underestimate your opponent?

When you underestimate your opponent, you open yourself up to all sorts of bullshit that your otherwise wouldn’t have been so susceptible to.My personal philosophy is that you should always assume that your opponent is the smartest, strongest, most cunning bastard there could be. This keeps you on your toes and makes you less likely to get sloppy or lazy. I don’t care if they’re actually average joes who are in the same boat as you - as far as I’m concerned, they’re Harvard graduates with millions of dollars and the knowledge to ruin your life.Obviously the severity with which you should apply this varies greatly with the situation, but it’s almost universal. This applies to literally every aspect of life in which you’re in competition with somebody - getting a job, playing a game, negotiating a deal, etcetera. And you should apply it to serious situations, because if you underestimate your opponent - don’t take them seriously, mock them, incorrectly evaluate their skills - then the odds  of you fucking up and letting them break through your defenses or one-up you skyrocket; all it takes is one wrong move to miss out on a job because you thought Jeff from down the street was a buffoon that couldn’t possibly ace the interview. Or, if you like the big picture: all it takes is one wrong move to get your country bombed to ash and millions of people killed because you didn’t think that America\Russia\China\[insert-power-here] was actually that much of a heavyweight.

How can I convince my parents to vote for Trump's opponent in 2020?

I am a 37 year old male who still lives with his parents, and I want to vote for whoever runs against Trump. I asked my parents to do so as well, but they said they will kick me out. I tell them go to hell.

What would you do in my situation?

If i have a lord of D. and my opponent uses the flute can i summon dragon monsters too?

i don't think so because it is not a share effect except for fields spell then both sides could share the benefits.

In yugioh, can my opponent read the effect of my monster card while it is on the field before I activate it?

This rulebook is outdated but it's basically the same concept. Look at page 43 ("Public Knowledge"). The opponent is allowed to pick up your card with your permission. There is no rule that says exactly when the opponent can read your card other than this part.

It's just a simple game etiquette, really. In order for the game to be fair, the opponent should be able to see the card(s) you are trying to use. So, your friend should ask if he can see your card that you are trying to use before he just up and grabs it. You can just say, "wait until I activate the effect", and then let him see it.

Honestly, just let him know that he should ask to see your card, and show him the card. He should have a good enough response time to check what card(s) he has so he may be able to counter it. It's good manners to show an opponent a card that they are unfamiliar with, and it is also good manners for the opponent to ask if he or she can see the card. I wouldn't make a big deal as to exactly when is the most appropriate time to show the card to them. They are going to have to see the card regardless.

Can my opponent activate ANY of his Trap cards during my turn? (Yu-Gi-Oh)?

I was dueling someone and I activated my "Barrel Dragons" effect (Once per turn, select 1 monster your opponent controls. Toss a coin 3 times, and if the result is 2 heads or more, destroy the selected monster) during my Main Phase One. He activated his face-down Trap Card which was "Compulsory Evacuation Device" (Target 1 monster on the field; return that target to the hand). I told him I didn't think that was legal to do. He made a big deal about it and told me I was wrong. I looked in the newest rule book for an answer, but it wasn't clear. Can someone verify this for me?
