How do I ask an artist’s permission for using his song in my YouTube channel the right way?

Frankly, your only hope of getting a yes is to ask a musician you know personally. Because there is zero chance that a recording artist is going to say “yes” to their music being used in some random video on YouTube. They can expect thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars for use by TV or movies. And the amount they can demand goes down if the music is used for free by others. And it’s pretty clear you are not planning to offer the band money (or at least not enough money). You can get your “no” answer, though, by seeking out the licensing department of their record publisher. Websites, like Sony Music, have a contact section that should allow you to get the email you need.Be aware, even for TV and movies, there is a profession that goes about curating music for shows and negotiating that rights deal. This is called the Music Coordinator. I suppose, if you are doing a web series with an income and actually do want to license some music from a non-famous source, your next step is to hire a music coordinator to do this for you.

How to keep videos with songs on youtube without copyright infringement?

I've uploaded 2 video art pieces with songs (one by Nine Inch Nails, one by Queens of the Stone Age) in the background and it tells me they're rejected because the audio. But how do other people get away with uploading commercial audio?

How do i add songs onto my youtube video without having copyright problems?

I posted a video on youtube and it said the song was copyrighted or something like that and so i had to audioswap it.
What i am saying is how do i post a video with the song i want?

P.S The song that was copyrighted was In the End by Linkin Park

Questions about using copyrighted songs in YouTube videos.?

1) Anything released by a record label is copyrighted.
2) You have to contact the record label in writing and get their permission for you to use and distribute the song. This is NOT going to happen unless you're willing to pay tons of royalties.
3) If you're using all original audio, it would probably be ok.
4) No. No difference at all.

Pianodev is wrong. Youtube has been removing the audio tracks to most of its videos if it's copyrighted.

I want to start a YouTube channel (I’m 16) but I don’t really like anything that I can film videos on. I like reading, art, modelling, and writing. What do I do?

I want to start a YouTube channel but I don’t really like anything that I can film videos on. I like reading, art and writing. What do I do?I will take that “I don’t really like anything that I can film videos on” as not having the ability to take a good quality video?Have you looked into possibly doing blogging instead of YouTube for the time being. Lots of possibilities exist with blogging. Could be a good starting point until you can find a way to upgrade your recording device.I’m always for someone to start a channel with what ever means possible until you find your way. A learning curve is present for starting a channel and a channel needs change over time to keep people interested. Just look at TV sitcoms. It can be the most popular thing for 4–5 years then it just fades away to nothing/rerun status.Jump in and start making videos or blogging. Use your interest as a good starting point and you’ll be find.Hope that helps and enjoy your day.

Do I need a pretty face to start a YouTube channel?

Looking pretty is a prerequisite for genres like makeup tuts, beauty, fashion, etc, but I guess you know that already and are asking about other genres. Quality of your content is the primary criteria. That’s going to help you in the long run. But then, there are many famous youtubers whose only claim to fame is their looks. Most of the youtubers target young audience (ages between 12–18) and like or not, that age group gives preference to youtubers who look good. So, if you are pretty and are comfortable with flaunting it, flaunt it! If not, don’t get discouraged by it.And yes, I agree with the other answers here. Don’t let your looks determine the success of your channel.

What martial arts can I learn just from youtube videos?

I doubt you could really learn any martial art practicing alone, no matter how dedicated you are. Unless it's just to perform alone on a stage. If your intention is to be good at self defense or for competitions, then it's an absolute must. You need other people to train with. Training alone, you might get good at difficult moves that don't require other people (like strikes) but that's about it.Working with others will teach you the importance of speed, improvisation, and what actually works and what doesn't. My teacher recommended practicing with opponents of different levels of ability, different physiques, for every move. Some techniques don't work so well on different physiques, or might need more adjustments.
