Would This Make A Good Science Fair Project

Any GOOD SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT IDEAS?!?!?!?!?!?

I know this type of question doesn't get many answers, but anyone who crosses this and reads this, PLEASE suggest something, and make sure it isn't a dumb one... it has to be one that almost 90% of people wouldn't know what would happen. In other words, no volcanoes and junk with baking soda... or in other words, just don't, and i repeat DON'T, put plain old classics...

A science fair project that has to do with ballet?

If you and your friends wear different brand of ballet slippers you can measure which one is the least slippery. Or maybe you can compare old to new. You will need (a) a bunch of shoes (b) a bag of sand, approx 2 lbs, or 1 kg. (c) a slippery board (d) a protractor.
Place the shoe in question on the board, put the bag of sand on top, start rising one end of the board till the shoe starts slipping down the slope, measure the angle. You can calculate the coefficient of static friction from this.

For a scientific experiment, you should test only one parameter while others remain the same. This is why I suggested to use the same bag of sand for every shoe.

Opening and closing ones arms is a good illustration to the subject of rotational motion, but it's hard to quantify. One reason - you're very much dependent on the "human factor", i.e. on how consistently the person performs a turn. There are too many things that can affect the experiment, including the skill of the dancer.

You can experimentally determine which type of chips (or other type of food) contain more calories. You can compare different groups, too. Like 10 grams of nuts to 10 grams of potato chips. You can make all sorts of diet-related conclusions.

Should I make my science fair project name shorter?

Like the answer to what our most senior citizens should wear, depends.  A shorter name allows you to use more of your display space to provide judges and your audience with information about your project.  A longer name may be needed to convey more clearer what your project is about.  Shorter names may be easier to remember.  A longer name may allow you to grab more attention.  However if your project is about the effects of Human Growth Hormone or giantism or a new engineering concept for building skyscrapers, definitely do not name it Shorter.

Good 1st place winning science project?

How about:

How much vitamin C is really in our juice?
Does chewed gum lose mass?
Which color Saran Wrap allows plants to grow the tallest?
How do household bleaches compare?
The effect of time of day on GPS accuracy.
The effects of spin on a volleyball

I found these on the Discovery page.

My nephew did one where he soaked a box of cereal in water (i think) and then put a magnet in it and found the iron.
it was cool.

Does any have any REALLY good UNIQUE Science Fair projects?

How would u make kpop music into a science fair project?

That would make an amazing social/psychological project! A lot of people don't actually know about Kpop or don't understand it so you could do so many things to test their reactions to the genre.

For example:
How do different age groups respond differently to (Insert Kpop group)

Which element of Kpop provokes the most interest from people previously unfamiliar with it? (ie: dance, music video, idols, style, song?)

Which style of Kpop music receives the most positive reactions? - For this one you could do songs with excessive aeygo, dubstep based, dance based, ballad-like, (sexy themed?) and every other style just to see which one strikes the most people as odd or good.

Quick Pick Bias - I don't think this one would be the easiest but you could show people just one group (ie SHINee or EXO) and show them a variety of their shows and music videos and live performances. Then ask them who their favorite was or who caught their eye (this will usually be the only one they can tell apart xD) and then compare it to those polls and opinions of typical Kpop fans. I think it would be very interesting to see how it reflects how Kpop would do in the West.

So anyhow, these are just some general ideas. I hope you're a people person or else the only other thing would be playing for plants. And I think it's awesome and totally creative that you would think of doing a science fair project based around Kpop, so I wish you plenty of luck!
