Would You Care To Paint A Picture Or Would Your Write A Song

How do I write my own songs?

If you’ve never attempted to write a song before, this question might seem ominous. But as many songwriters will probably tell you, you just need to decide to begin writing. The longer you wonder about the idea of how to do it, the harder it will start to seem. Don’t worry about making sense or whether what you’re writing rhymes, just write down your thoughts about the idea you have in mind.If you have no idea what to write about, you can begin with your personal experiences:- In love and relationships- Struggles in life- Injustices you see around you- How people treat you, etc. You’ll soon realize you have tons of songwriting topics to flesh out.Of course, lyrics may not start flowing right away and it may take numerous tries before you even get a few lines going. With that said, there are different ways to go about writing your own songs, many of which have already been covered in previous replies. One thing to remember is that a song is only a song when it has melodies that can be performed vocally or with music. As such, you won’t really have a song until your words are added to vocals and instruments are added to the mix.If you play an instrument, such as the piano or guitar, you can start trying to put words to the music while you play. This is a good way to create a hook or chorus by the way. In fact, starting with a hook or chorus is a good way to begin writing a song, and then you can add the rest of the lyrics as you figure out the melody and chords.Another thing to be aware of when writing your own songs is the structure. There are different song structures, with the most popular one being verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus. There are a number of variations that you can learn about and some will even come to you naturally as you grow as a songwriter.Writing your own song is an immensely personal experience, so different people have different ways of going about it. Some have writing schedules, others walk around with tape recorders and notebooks for whenever the inspiration comes along, and others set themselves songwriting goals (a song a day, for example). There is so much to learn about the songwriting process and much of it will come to you along the way. So, the best thing you can do is to just get started.

What are some of the paintings used in the movie The Ghost Writer?

During the movie The Ghost Writer I was consistently distracted by the brilliant modern art throughout the house. I would love to know what any of the works are or who painted them, but I am particularly interested in the red and blue pair of paintings in the study. The link below has several pictures of scenes throughout the movie.

What is everything I would want to write and describe about a girl?

If you have a way to record yourself, here’s one way to describe a girl. You can open your eyes to take notes, but it’s not going to be as effective—- or easy. Your phone or other device probably has a recorded. Ready?Isolate yourself. You will need to keep your eyes closed and being alone helps.Begin recording. Make sure it’s recording so you won’t need to stop exercise to make sure.VERY IMPORTANT STEP: Close your eyes. When one sense is deprived, the other senses are heightened.Picture girl. You cannot describe what you do not see. Strain to look.Say what you see. Start at top of her head and remember to describe intangibles like heart and mind. There is no need to speak in complete sentences, but you MUST speak. While a description of clothing misses the mark, describing it might help you get started. Imagine touching what you’re describing. For instance the girl’s hair could be luxurious; it could leave a trace of [smell]. Maybe it tumbles over her shoulders…. Do not use clichés; be authentic.Use recording to make written notes— and you’re almost done. Take care that you don’t create a laundry list when crafting your description. Don’t describe every little detail, but focus on a few and tell me (the audience)why they matter. For example, that little wisp of bangs that always seems to fall right to the corner of her lips when she laughs. Or talk about the way she walks….You’re painting a picture of this girl with your words. Make me see what you see.

I want to be a singer, so bad.?

Let me break it down for you,
a record deal is simply a record label offering you there resources so you can make them your money.
however, they aren't going to give you these resources until they know that there is DEMAND for your music and they know that you are READY.
They want to see that you can handle the industry, they don't want to TEACH how to play live shows and TEACH you how to write songs - you need to know how to do that already.
Record Labels aren't your teaachers, they are just your resources.
record labels want artists that are in DEMAND.
what is DEMAND?
when people around the country are asking you to come play live shows in their city
when people are anticipating your new songs and records.
They want to know, FOR SURE, that if you were to release a record - that people would buy it.
They want to know, FOR SURE, that if you were to play in New York, people would come.

So how do you build this demand?
Start playing live shows and writing your own songs.
Set up social networking sites for yourself. (facebook, myspace etc)

Continue to play your live shows as you gain experience, build connections and build a fan base.
Eventually, (hopefully sooner then later)you'll will write a couple songs that you really enjoy, and that the crowd really enjoys. Go spend some money, and record the songs professionally, put them up on your social networking sites and then people will know what you sound like when they stumble across your page.

Sooner or later, you will hit a spot in the local music scene, you'll have that group of kids coming to your all shows, you'll have a whole bunch of songs and a pretty steady set list. When this happens, get an agent and a manger, they will help expand your band to other cities.

How do I learn to love music again?

I'm a singer/guitarist in my late 20's. I've written and recorded my share of songs, the score of a short film, and done some live performance. I know my theory and both write and improvise well. My problem is this - after ten years, the magic is gone. I've come to see music as pure math. A graph of pitch vs. time. A set number of notes the human ear can differentiate that we musicians combine in an unlimited number of ways to influence human emotion. We play a major chord progression with a fast beat and people feel happy. Minor chords to make you feel sad. Maybe some suspended chords for that open, airy feel. Yes it's more complex than that, but any musician who knows what he's doing can create other emotive patterns - nostalgia, frustration, loneliness. It's all just an equation for manipulating feelings. I'm addicted to it, but it feels fake. I don't even enjoy listening to music anymore. I just see patterns. There's no divinity or joy in it anymore, just numbers. What should I do?

What are cute ways of surprising your boyfriend?

I love him to death. I feel like I don't show him that though. Of course, I tell him. He's my everything. He does cute things for me. Hes made me a cute picture when he was messing around in paint. (we're long distance). He is writing me a song that he'll play to me if he's in a good mood or if I ask (which makes me cry when i hear it. It's simply beautiful), he got me my engagement ring and wears a ring on his left ring finger to show that he's taken by me. I wear a ring as well. I've drawn him a simple picture.

What are cute ways to show your boyfriend you love him? I'm 15, he's 17 (If you recall, i wrote that he has my engagement ring. I don't need to hear we're too young). He has had a rough life and I'm the only person he can open up to and be himself with. I just want to show him that he is appreciated. He's not alone like he thinks he is. He has me even if his family isn't there for him.
