I'm dating someone and I'm afraid to show them the big scar on my back because it is unattractive. Should I get a tattoo to cover this up?
In the first place, I don't think a tattoo would conceal the scar. It would overlay it, yes, but the scar would still be there, and would still be visible through the ink. I see a lot of people with tattoos. It has become such a commonplace thing recently, that I am almost tempted to pigeonhole an inked person as one who has poor impulse control, or one who runs with the crowd. Unless it's a really big one, or in a curious location. Then I think "pain fetish," or exhibitionist. There are a lot of awesome tattoos you could get, but all too often, they're a great idea poorly executed, or a poor idea well done yet another time. Not all of them, of course, but a fair few.On the other hand, a big scar automatically gets my attention. It says "this person has a story that is unlike any story you've heard from other people. Tease it out of her and listen attentively, because it's likely to show you how cool she is. She's a survivor.Get a tattoo if you want one. I'm not here to say no. But don't just do it to conceal the physical evidence of the amazing story you must have. Do it because it's meaningful to you and you expect it to remain meaningful for the rest of your life. Do it because you want a tattoo on your back, and you have a design in mind that wouldharmonize with the scar. Tattoos are like herpes and luggage: you keep them forever. You'd do yourself a disservice by getting one without deep consideration.
Would you date a GIRL with ACNE SCARS?
I had always had great skin until about 6 months ago when I suddenly started getting acne. It seemed like every breakout scarred. Most of the scarring is on my chin area with a little on my forehead. It's not like craters...its just pinkish marks. But I'm really self conscious about it and sometimes I won't even do stuff with my friends because I feel so bad about it. Mostly, makeup disguises it but I feel like its robbed me of my natural beauty...now I have to wear makeup...it sucks. But my real question is... Would you date a girl with acne scars?(guys only plz) I'm so worried that guys will find that gross or ugly. I have tried treatments but so far...its not any better. Please be honest. Other than that I think I'm okay. People say I'm pretty...but the acne has destroyed my self confidence.

I use toothpaste. Not The Gel type but the paste kind. I do this over night. Remember to wash you face before applying and before you leave for school the next day.
Will women date/marry a man who has burn marks on his face?
I'm fairly good looking, good job, nice guy (I think). But I'm so lonely because I feel like women wouldn't want to meet me or kiss me because of my burn marks. I'm thinking of spending money on plastic surgery but it would be very expensive and I'm not able to decide whether I should dip into my savings for it? The problem is the burn marks are on the left side and they extend all the way to my lip. So I have a "good side" of my face but the corner of my lip looks disgusting too (so who would want to kiss that?). It's kind of like two face (that batman character). It's pretty bad but at least its only on one side of my face. Just tell me- would most women not mind this and should I try to approach women? Or is expensive plastic surgery the only way to get a gf? I would love to get married one day but feel like this hideous mark is holding me back from being happy? I was always taught that a real man doesn't care about being "pretty" but I'm not sure anymore. Plus I have trouble making excuses for it because the real reason behind the scars is too dark (abusive step father held me down and burned me with an iron). EVERY SINGLE girl I try to meet always asks about the scar and I have to make some kind of stupid excuse... If so, do you think I should just tell the real reason right away- wouldn't that scare women off? People say women aren't as judgmental as men when it comes to these things- do you think that's true in my case?

Can horrible acne scars ruin your beauty and make you undateable?
I should be beautiful. I am tall, skinny and have an hourglass figure with big boobs. My hair has gotten me complements my whole life, my lips are full and my eyes are pretty. Sadly, horrible acne in my teenage years has left me with horrible untreatable scars. These aren't just a few little nicks but horrible cratered red splashes all over my entire face. Can I ever be considered pretty? Would you date or marry a person whose face is not easy on the eyes?

I have a scar from when I used to self harm on my stomach and I am self conscious about it. It causes me to not want to wear bathing suits in public, not only because I am self conscious about my body, but also because I am self conscious of that. for popping zits and blackheads and squeezing them tight guys tend to do that less gently and more often than girls which causes scaring and indents
