Would You Like A Arsenal And Liverpool Title Race

Arsenal are out of the title race?

Wenger has said it before you can't win the premier league before new years but you can sure as hell lose it. if we lose to Chelsea 11 points back game in hand or otherwise is going to be a steep hill to climb. I expect us to not have to play in the playoff to make the group stages of the Champions league next season but I will wait until at least new years to gauge our title hopes.

Why do Man Utd fans want Man City to win title instead of Liverpool?

I think I’m a pretty unusual case study here.I am from Liverpool…well Birkenhead really, but to people not from the area they are one and the same.I support United. I followed my dad (also from Birkenhead) who supports United. I grew up hating Liverpool. If I didn’t support United, I would have supported Everton (and Tranmere). I spent my entire childhood and teenage years in fierce arguments with family and friends who supported Liverpool. I was a pariah in the family. But…if it has to come down to either City or Liverpool winning the league…I would rather, in this case at least, Liverpool won it.The reason why is that I still can’t help but view THIS City as a fake team.I know that’s a bit of a trite thing to say, but all their success and status in the past 6 years or so is built on an artificial basis. For all the money United have spent, it is built on an organic base. The Glazers may be rich Americans, but they bought an already immensely wealthy club and if anything have spent the last decade filtering money out of the club.So when I look at City…for all their excellent football and talent-filled setup…it all feels a bit hollow.Liverpool though…for as cringe-worthy as some of their fans are, are a club in the tradition of United. They have earned their wealth. They have not had the same artificial input of money that City have. But look, if Liverpool did go on to win the league then I’ll probably end up absolutely hating it. Their fans will be unbearable (and proud of it), and who knows…it might spark some great resurgence where Liverpool go on and dominate for the next 10 years. But as it stands…with Spurs out the title race and United fighting for fourth, I would still rather Liverpool won it than City. But I imagine I’m pretty unique here when it comes to United fans.

Can Arsenal win the Premier League title now that they are second and Diego Costa is injured?

Well, in the game of football anything is possible. Not long ago we saw Man City clinching the title from Man Utd, when they won against QPR in stoppage time to go on and win on goal difference. But we have to look at this 'title race' rather realistically. Following is a statistical projection. At this point in time, Chelsea are the only possible title challengers that Arsenal have to compete with. They have the strongest squad apart from being the league leaders. Arsenal have 7 premier league fixtures remaining. Of which they have Chelsea at home and Utd away as opponents as far as stronger teams are concerned. If they were to win all the rest of the matches, Arsenal will get 21 points of the max 21. Now, Chelsea have Arsenal, Utd and Liverpool which are the toughest of their last 8 matches. Even if Chelsea lose to Arsenal and manage to only draw against Liverpool and Utd, Chelsea will score 17 points of the max 24. The point standings will be  Arsenal 84 while Chelsea 87. Even if Chelsea were to lose against Utd instead of drawing against them, still Chelsea will finish with 85 points. This the the most optimistic scenario for Arsenal I can think of and still Arsenal don't win the title.  But again, like I said before, anything can happen in football we can always hope for the best.

I pulled a little more info on the free reports since I have an account. She's a trotter and they list her with 0 earnings. Her last start was on 07/09/2010 at Saratoga it looks like so she hasn't been retired long? Since the horse was bred in Canada it is possible that the Canadian Harness Association could have more info. I generally don't find their site as useful as the USTA.

3. Pic 1 has blinkers or blinders by the eyes and a face mask. The blinkers prevent a horse from seeing back. This can help a horse race for several reasons. Some horses get nervous when they see horses coming up along side of them. It prevents them from being distracted though I think some horses race better with blinders because all they can hear are horses running and they can't see behind to find out what is chasing them. Some horses are actually more nervous when they can't see back. The fabric on the face helps keep the blinders in place. There is usually so much gear on a STB that the blinders can fit onto the bridle. Some people put the fabric face masks on horses that are sensitive to dirt being kicked up into their face.

Picture 2 the horse on the rail has a shadow roll. This prevents him from seeing shadows moving on the ground. Sometimes horses can be distracted or scared by shadows or other things on the ground. This helps prevent it.

Picture 3 is another set of blinkers or blinders. The cups on this mask are much bigger then the one in Picture 1. The blinders in picture 1 prevent the horse from seeing back. These blinders are going to prevent the horse from seeing behind them and prevent them from seeing what is beside them. This horse can basically just see forward.

Who do you think will win this year's Premier League title: Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, or Liverpool?

Chelsea has a good chance of getting themselves this year's Premier League title. Jose Mourinho has always used his tactics properly and with Fabregas and Diego Costa, there is a good chance they will make it to the finals. But I also see the line-up of Manchester City quite good. If they bring in their best of the players, they will gain up pace and will surely make it to the finals. I feel Liverpool is just lucky for them to be on the top 4 in the current situation. I doubt they will remain in that position or may be, they might just qualify. Arsenal might make it to top 5 or 6, I doubt they will qualify, since they are in a bad tactic situation. Anyways, still a long way to go. Anything can happen in Leagues.

Man Utd vs Arsenal.Does anyone REMEMBER the days when THIS game was the TITLE DECIDER a few years back?

Arsenal threw at least 2 of those championships away during the 'business end' of the season.

1998/99 should have been Arsenal's title - but they crumbled.

Same thing happened again in the 2002-03 season when, by 2nd March Arsene Wenger's lot led 2nd placed United by 8 points.

Obviously 1997-98 was an insane season for Arsenal who went on this stupendous run that saw them elevate from mid-table to title challengers and then - somehow, won the title.

So Wenger could have won 5 EPL titles with Arsenal and not 3, but thats United for you - they're the LAST team you want breathing down your necks as the season begins to draw to a close.

Agree though - the Arsenal v United title race wars were exciting for their time.

I like the Liverpool v United title races of the 80's - when we use to win the league comfortably regardless of if United fought for a runners up place lmao

those days surely have to return one day again no ? ^_^

lol
