Would You Read My Story/book

If you were given a book with story of your life, would you read the end? Why?

NO...I wouldn't read the end but i will read till the present to just refresh my memory. The problem with the current generation is not being patient. We think about the future so much that we don't live the present. We do things today to enjoy tomorrow. If we know the end, that will only make it worse. We will work towards changing the end and won't live the present to the fullest. Also, it will instill negative feelings within us. Most of the victories are achieved because we believe we can win. If we know the end, we will stop believing ourselves which in my view is the end.So I wouldn't read the future of my life, but I will read the past to just see how I have carried out myself and refresh small , happy, cute memories. We all want to live our childhood again and this will give a real opportunity to do that.

PLEASE READ MY STORY!?

Absolutely beautiful. Fantastic. Needs a little editing, but then again (being a writer myself), it always needs editing (even once published) - and others point that out better than you do. I think it's really moving, and much like my style of writing. You don't use words that are too complicated, and the context is perfect for those that require some thinking.

I would publish this in a book of short stories!

And do you know what else I love? You're using such a valuable resource (this site) to do something that isn't mindless drivel in texting-form about body image and whatnot. And you can actually write. Extremely well. I love this.

Do you prefer to read stories in printed books or e-books?

Like everyone else, I grew up reading printed books but honestly I prefer ebooks. I feel like people who prefer paperback choose it solely for the nostalgia of that new or old book smell. It’s either that or a feeling of superiority. You have to admit that shelves and shelves of books are impressive. I honestly don’t care about any of that. I mean have any of you had the displeasure of reading an old second hand book that someone else left questionable stuff in between the pages? Ebooks don’t give me that problem.I have a kindle paperwhite and these reasons are why I prefer it.1.The DisplayMy kindle does not have an LED screen but still has a backlight in case I need it. The screen also has a soft almost paperlike feel to it.2. Ease of AccessI move a lot. I travel a lot. I may have loved print books more if I didn’t have to go through a purge every time I have to move. My kindle lets me carry my whole library of books without any need for sad farewells and donations to friends and family.Furthermore, I’ve lived on tiny islands with no bookstores and outdated libraries. I live in a small city now with overpriced bookstores. Ebooks let me read without the effort of ordering and waiting weeks for a book I want, as well as paying customs tax and extra shipping for where I live.3. Distractions are avoidable if you want to.Regardless of if you have an e-reader or if you’re using a multipurpose phone or tablet, it’s very easy to turn on airplane mode and get lost in a book sans distractions.Furthermore, battery life on ebook readers are tremendous. They can last up to a month in some cases. Besides, with our technologically connected world it’s incredibly easy to keep a charge on your device.4. The EnvironmentLet's be real, the paper industry is terrible for the environment. I feel a million times better knowing that my avid reading is better for the environment now that I read on my kindle almost exclusively. At this point there is no contest. The only exceptions I make for reading printed books is if they are old and not yet available electronically or if someone gave me a book to read. Everything else is online: my textbooks for school, old books I own, books written by friends, academic papers, books I’m borrowing from amazon, samples of books I may want to read, lecture slides, everything. I can highlight, bookmark, and make notes anywhere and easily find them later. Ebooks are the future.

Will you read my story, pretty long?

I read it all. I think it was really good! the last bit about cheating and dating etc rambled on a bit but yeah it was good. (:

Choose the best short story you have ever read. The one you can't find any better than that. Tell me...?

What is the best short story you have ever read? The short story that you couldn't find one better than that. Tell me please about its name and the author. And if you can, please, E-mail it to my address: happymohammad3@yahoo.com. Here in my country there is no access to English short stories, or if there are some they are simplified ones which are not proper for my purpose. I tried to test online litraries, but first of all I must find the name of that story and its author and then to try to find that. Your choice is important for me because I can't read hundreds of them to find some.

What if you read a book and only half way through you realize it is about your life?

No, I don't read it!I want to keep some surprises for myself. So, I don't read it once realized except for one or two curious points ;) I cannot bear too much suspense even!!Reason?Won't it be too boring if I know that this reply would get the most upvotes just by reading that book?#Surprise me, my life!

Did you have a favorite children’s book that was read to you when you were little, that you now have also read to your children or grandchildren?

I don’t remember anyone reading to me as a kid. I’m sure someone did. My mother and sisters were very attentive, but I really don’t remember anyone reading to me. I had a lot of records – 33 LPs — that were sensually books on vinyl. I listen to a lot of those. I learned to read very early, somewhere around or before kindergarten. I read voraciously, and still do. I listen to books on tape, or books on computer, more accurately, all the time and find it really enjoyable. With my own children, I remember reading a couple of huge box of fables, myths, and traditional stories. I also read them this book called “George Shrinks” Because it was really cleverly illustrated and written. I read them the first three harry potter books. I tead them lots of oddball books I would find in the bookstore. I am pretty certain I read them only “The Cat in the Hat” from my youth. And I can’t stabd that story! It’s senseless. They didn’t like it, either. So, I can’t say I successfully passed down literary chives to my kids.

Is my book idea good??

Okay so there's this girl her name is December. Her mother and her travel a lot so they jump from apartment to apartment' but they stay in the same place for at least a year sometime 11 months. But December isn't a fan of moving around a lot and wishes to go back to the place she was born' Nashville Tennessee. But her Mom says that most people only ever dream about seeing the world and that she should take it in honor that she can see things most people only dream. So December sucks it up and tries to make the best of it.

((The new place there at is Seattle.)) When they get to the apartment December goes up to their room and decides to go to bed. But once she reaches the hall she see's a guy about her age 16 with messy brown hair ((NOT CURLY)) His eyes are turquoise and his skin is a flash white color. When she see's him she decides to go up and ask him if he's lost etc. But when she walks up to him he just ignores her and walks away. She feels some what offended but quickly shakes it off.

The next morning when she wakes up she decides to go for a walk she tells her mom and then leaves. As she walks outside the apartment building she see's the same boy from the night before' so she walks up to him. He looks at her as though she's scum on the bottom of his shoe and turns away.

She just shrugs and then turns away and decides to walk over to a McDonalds which is only a couple minutes away to go get some breakfast. When she gets there she see's the boy but this time he's with a girl. The girl has Blonde straight hair and pale' pale skin she's wearing red lipstick and has the same turquoise eyes as the boy. When the girl see's her she comes over and says "hello". December greets her and then asks if her and the boy are related. She responds with a "yes but also says the only difference is I'm smarter when it comes to my meals. December doesn't understand but goes along with it. "Would you like to join us for breakfast"? the girl asks. " "Shure but I don't think your brother likes me". December replies. Oh we always take good care of our fiends and we are friends right"?

And that's all I'm putting but what do you think so far?

Would you rather read the book or watch the movie?

Thank you for the A2A!I love this question! It really depends. If it is an author I am familiar with, I tend to read the book first, then go and see the movie to compare the adaptation. Throughout the years I can only name a handful of movies where the script and the movie were close to 90% of being the same (The Exorcist is one of those book to film movies that is a 90% to me). I think most book authors who get a movie option are happy if they can see 70% of their vision on the screen as there are SO many hands in it making decisions on how things need to get done. I also think that is why in some cases Director’s Cut was formed as an option. What has happened is that I find in recent times is a movie will come out and THEN a book is written. I am not a fan of that. I think the movie has more substance in that case than the book because it makes me feel as if they’re trying to get more traction from the film, and I figured I’ve gotten the gist of it enough. Then there are the comic book adaptations. It has been a 50/50 prospect for me and not in a bad way. There are those I know like the back of my hand like Superman, Batman, Spider-man, Iron Man, The Hulk, X-Men, Black Panther and their nemeses; and then those that I never read by “heard” about like “Wonder Woman”, “Guardians of the Galaxy”, “Dr. Strange” and just go to the film to enjoy it and never pick up the comic.
