Would You Still Play With A Person

Can a mute person still play a wind instrument?

Yes, I believe they can. A mute person's vocal chords don't work, but they can still breathe air.

Can deaf person play lacrosse?

Yes.
I had a player on my team (Johnny) that was totally deaf. He had to be a really smart player.
During pauses in game he would look to the sideline and we'd give him hand signals...pressure more...lay off...etc and during stoppages, his interpreter (sign language person) would pass on specific comments on what to do.
It isn't impossible, just more difficult.
He had a blast out there, being part of the team, and I was glad he was there.

I'm 14 and I still play pokémon...does that make me a bad person?

If you are fourteen and doing drugs, involved in a gang, or terrorist activities, then you are a bad person.

If you are fourteen and enjoy playing the second most popular video game series ever created... Then how does that make you bad? Somehow, Pokemon has gained the reputation of being a childish game, when when you look closely at it it's an extremely complicated game meant for all ages. That's why it's rated "E" for everyone, and not for ages 10 and lower or something.

Most older Pokemon players feel the way you are now at some point. But life is short, remember that, so what's the harm in having fun? You're not going to like what everyone else likes, you're your own person. So don't think you have to quit because lots of other people your age have too. It's completely fine.

Quit Pokemon when you want to quit, not when you think you should quit.

How would you react if you saw a person playing with a kid’s toys?

I wouldn’t really care.I mean, I still play with Legos.

When playing 500 rummy, if the person who's turn it is discards a card that another person can play,?

Its been a while since I played, but if I remember correctly, anyone can yell rummy and take the card, even if you don't have anything in front of you.
Once they put the card in the throw away pile, their turn is technically over. Now, if they pick it back up, I believe they have to throw another card away.

How could a person with hands arthritis still play music?

See these hands? They belonged to Ansel Adams, the photographer. I first heard him play Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring sometime around 1955. His hands were gnarled long before: rumor had it that a camera was given to him as a distraction from pain's interference with his career in music.I don't recall if copious amounts of liquor were applied that afternoon in the house in San Francisco; given that I was there with my father, I'm fairly certain that at least Pop had ingested liberal quantities of alcoholic lubricants. The too few times I heard him play in Carmel, he had had perhaps a few drinks, but no more than enough to give a happy glow (I should say “happier” - he was always cheerful around me.) His playing was as precise as always, and as alive as if Bach sat next to him, whispering “breathe here… a little faster now… yes, this!”So. It is possible to play, and play well with or through infirmities like arthritis or worse. It may mean playing less, and choosing arrangements or instruments that are less challenging than one might prefer.Or one might find a gift in it, as Django Reinhardt did after burning his hand.Django Reinhardt - Wikipedia

If a person in their mid-30s still enjoys playing video games, will they ever grow out of it? Do you still play and at what age?

I’m also 37, and I still love Video Games. There are times that games get boring, but if you find a game that makes you excited to play again, then you won’t have to “grow out of it.” I love Call of Duty, but Black Ops 4 made me so bored, that I stopped playing altogether. It’s not for the lack of trying, its because of the annoying nuances with the game. My biggest pain point was the spawns. People are using the spawns as a weapon to win games. I’m sorry, but going to someone’s spawn does not make you a good gamer. It just makes you a sore loser.I’m sorry, but that’s annoying. Nothing more annoying to see a player right in front of me at my spawn, killing me in seconds of my spawn. That formula needs to change in some way or form. It was glaring in BO4 than any other Call of Duty title.Resident Evil 2 (Remake), while a remake reignited my passion for games. I love the quality in there. The wonder, the exploration, the controls, the suspense. Everything was just sublimly awesome. I had my first scare in a few years. Besides horror films. Devil May Cry 5? Reignited my passion for games again. Hopefully the trend continues this year.

How many NFL players are 70 or older and still play in the league?

I believe that Brett Farve is the only one.

After a long hiatus, can a person still play a musical instrument they once did at a competent level? For example, if I played trombone in college, changed majors and want to come back to it, can it still be done for recreation?

I have worked with a number of students who fit this description. What I’ve found is that:They feel rusty when they pick up the instrument after time away. The feeling of discouragement is enough to prevent most people from wanting to pick up the instrument and face that torment. However, it’s also only temporary. They tend to retain most of what they’ve learned over long periods of time. It takes awhile, but it does start to come back with practice.Even when they’ve forgotten, they maintain an astounding capacity to learn. Clearly the fruit born of practice is to be able to play an instrument competently, but I would not say that the study of music is wasted or that the benefits are lost merely because one no longer can or does play the instrument. I’ve found that people who learned to play an instrument are generally quite sharp and can learn very well. So regardless of whether you go back to trombone or not, the study of music has benefits that cannot be lost or wasted. For more information, see:Coming Back after Time Away
