GOOD LUCK =]

Do I have to use my real name on Quora? What is Quora's ‘real names’ policy?

On Quora, you are required to use your real, full name for your account. To do so, you can change your name from your profile. If you are ever uncomfortable about associating your identity with a particular question or answer, you can write the answer[1] or ask the question[2] anonymously. If Quora Moderation believes that a user is not using their real name, the user may be asked to provide supporting evidence.More specifically, the following rules apply to Quora profile names:Company or organizational accounts: you may create an account on Quora to represent a legally incorporated business or other organization. You are not required to do so, if you prefer to answer using a personal account. Not all organization accounts will be verified, though we may ask company accounts to provide verification.Names in non-Latin alphabet languages: Quora is currently only available in certain languages. In English, characters and letters that are not part of the Latin alphabet are allowed in user names in parentheses, if a Latin alphabet-name precedes the parenthetical. Example: Mikhail Gorbachev (Михаи́л Серге́евич Горбачёв), Hu Jintao (胡锦涛).Titles, such as "Dr." and "Ms.", may not be used in a Quora name; instead, information about degrees (e.g., "M.D.", or "PhD.") may be included in the user headline that appears to the right of your name, or elsewhere in your profile.Role accounts: Since each account should be connected with a real name, multiple accounts representing the same person (e.g., a professional identity under one name and a personal identity under a different one) are not permitted.Capitalization: Names should be appropriately capitalized. JOHN SMITH should be capitalized as John Smith.Footnotes[1] Quora's answer to How do I write an anonymous answer on Quora?[2] Quora's answer to How do I ask an anonymous question?

What can I do if I don't like my name?

I had the same issue - a very odd spelling and androgynous first name, and an impossible to spell and pronounce ethnic last name (which had been shortened by my grandpa from a more impossible last name, and wasn't exactly a flattering translation from old German). Added to that, I wasn't close with my father at all.I finally legally changed my first, middle and last name when I turned 30. I wished that I had done it at 20, when I first had the idea. It was surprisingly easy and relatively cheap to do. Legally, I didn't have to explain much to the judge, my reasons fit all the checkboxes. Very few people except my close friends even knew that I legally changed my name, since most people thought that Jessie was short for Jessica anyway. The downside was that Jessica was what I'd spent all my life telling people NOT to call me. I went for a time as my middle name "Kay" (K was always my middle initial), because at least my first inclination isn't to correct people that my name is not Jessica!Everything is easier now. My name fits nicely on forms, and when someone I don't know says my last name, it doesn't sound like a fart (used to sound even more like a fart when they were German and DID know how to pronounce it!). It has slightly confused a few people, but they always laugh and understand that "there's always another Jessica in the room".Branding? I just put a "creative" after my name. Or you could put "enterprises" or "solutions" or "creations" or "art" or whatever fits what you do after your domain name.

Isaac: The name I love but cannot use :*(?

I love that name! It's adorabable!

I never would have thought of "I suck earth." Ever. Same with "I suck girth."

I honsetly don't think it sounds like either of those. I know someone names Isaac Cupino. He never gets made fun of. It's pronounced i-SIK, not not i-SUCK.

You love the name, I love the name, let's use the name!!!

Good luck!

What do you think of Aspen as a name for a girl?

I think it wold be very special for your daughter to carry your grandmother's name.

While Aspen is not a name that's quite up my alley, I think it's wonderful that you would want to honor your family in that way.

Also, Aspen is a type of tree, so if anyone gives you any bother about being named after a place in CO, you can tell them that. What's so different being named Aspen than Willow or, to broaden the spectrum, Fern or Rose? I know a girl named Sequoya, for Pete's sake!

Edit: Grammy - I think an obvious nickname would be Penny. Which is really cute!

This Is THE best girl name you will ever hear!?

I still think my girl name was the best, Winter Belle. It's not "retarded" as someone else said (obviously a negative unhappy person) and If you love the name then it's perfect for the person you love to wear it. If she decides when she gets older that she doesn't like it or it doesn't fit her then she can use her middle name. I love Juliet thats a beautiful name.
