I’ve never actually met a celebrity one-on-one. But walking around New York City, I’ve seen a few who live there or stay temporarily while in Broadway productions.Sightings are fairly common. But residents respect the privacy of their celebrity inhabitants going about their everyday business. They don’t crowd around them for questions or autographs—or snap photos like paparazzi.They are New Yorkers and we protect them.Many years ago, I was turning the corner near the Harvard Club and ELLIOT GOULD walked by.I was waiting for the doors to open in front of a Broadway theater. MARTHA STEWART was there with some friends, waiting alongside me. She was dressed in all black—New York black. And she is tall. ALAN ALDA was standing in front of a poster, graciously acceding to a fan who wanted his photograph.Having breakfast at Nice Matin, Upper West Side, JOHN LITHGOW was at the next table.WILLY GEIST was having dinner at an outside table at a popular Caribbean restaurant, Playa Betty’s, Upper West Side.Crossing an avenue midtown, I spotted ALEC BALDWIN in a trench coat, walking in my direction.My daughter sometimes sees TINA FEY with her kid at the school playground across the street, Upper West Side.My SIL saw LEONARDO DICAPRIO riding a bike in Central Park with his tall and gorgeous model girlfriend (wish I was the one with Leonardo in my sight lines).I walked into an elevator and there was ELIE WEISEL, with two other gentlemen, all dressed for a formal event.Which brings to mind a stellar experience I had as an eight year old in the 1950s. Such a kind and gracious lady, emanating high wattage star quality with her amazing smile and—there are no other words—her wondrous presence.

What are the consequences of punching someone in the face after you were deliberately provoked?
I normally answer these questions from my current point of view as a legal practitioner. But, as I have personal experience with this particular scenario, I’ll give you this info as a former/reformed hothead.I personally have had someone provoke me; and, I punched him right in the nose. It was a gratifying crunch and he dropped, crying about how sorry he was; but, only for a few minutes.As soon as I walked away he called 911 and the coops showed up to arrest me for battery. So, I went to jail.As that was not my first arrest for such asinine behavior the magistrate decided I could spend the remainder of the weekend in jail until I saw the judge on Monday.The judge agreed with the magistrate and denied me bail, setting the trial for a month away.A couple of weeks later I was finally assigned a public defender who told me about a deal being offered by the prosecutor. I pled no contest to simple assault, they dropped the felony, and, after 20 days in jail I got a quick hearing where the judge released me to my new buddy for the following three years - a probation officer. I ended up paying nearly $18,000 in damages (medical bills), fines and court costs and was chained to a PO for those three years where I had to take time off work (costing me more money each time; and a couple of jobs during those years) to go take drug tests or just come in for meetings. Plus, I got to spend a couple more weeks in jail until the court figured out I wasn’t the one who beat that same guy to a pulp outside of a bar one night.So, if you’ve already done this, good luck (honestly, I got off easy, your sentence is likely to be much worse). If you haven’t punches this moron yet; don’t do it.I’ll leave you with the words that judge spoke to me all those years ago- “Son, there is absolutely no word in the English language anyone can say to you that gives you the right to put your hands on them!”
What is it like to date an extremely attractive woman?
It’s great, but definitely has its issues. Here are some of the pros and cons based on looks alone.Pros:Sex life can be really greatLots of extra attentionPeople/businesses treat you betterSocial proof (if you date one hot girl, other hot girls will be more interested in you).Boosts confidenceCons:Lots of extra attention. Guys literally flock to her ALL OF THE TIME, doesn’t even matter where. Almost every day I’m told of some random guy that approached her at work or at the store or anywhere really. When I’m with her I literally need to work to keep them off of her.Ex boyfriends tend to linger around forever. The single ones still try to get back with her even though it’s been years and she isn’t interested at all.Incredible amount of attention on social media. Even if she isn’t active, she gets a ton of likes / comments / messages every day. We’ll be sitting there hanging out with each other and be interrupted by a notification that some random guy is liking her pictures from 2 months ago or sent her a ridiculous message.You know that there are literally hundreds of guys patiently waiting for you to have a fight so they can try to squeeze their way into the mix.They can expect a lot of you. They can be difficult at times to test you. An attractive women is likely an experienced dater and looking for a man who can handle her. If you can’t, you aren’t enough of a man for her. It’s okay, though because you’ll be better prepared for the next woman.You are replaceable. Logically speaking, it’s very easy for a beautiful woman to leave you and go get another boyfriend. You need to be comfortable with this. Here’s the thing though, she is dating you now for a reason. You are likely attractive as well for whatever reasons. Know that you can also replace her. It’s not a reflection of either of your worth though so don’t think you’re better or worse than one another if it doesn’t work out. It just didn’t work out.These are just some of the pros and cons but hopefully it paints a pretty good picture for you. Dating a beautiful woman is an incredible experience. I believe it’s one of, if not the greatest reward life can offer and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It definitely has its challenges, though, and can be really stressful at times.
