Write A Monologue For A Character

Write a monologue for a character?

Write a monologue for a character. Remember, a monologue is a set piece of speech
spoken by only one character. The monologue should be based on the following
prompt: "When the ball hit you in the head you were knocked out cold for ten
minutes. During that time, you had the weirdest dream of your life."

Now tell the dream to the person who was with you when you woke up. The first
line should begin with, "I was in...”

The monologue should only be about one page in length, double-spaced.

I have to write a monologue in the viewpoint of a TKAM character?

you need to decide one thing... which side do you follow? are you with atticus and the rest of the finches or do you support bob ewell and mayella?

if you are in support of tom robbinson, i'd write one based off of Link Deas (his employer), Heck Tate (the sherrif who is a major witness in the trial), Mr. Raymond (the one who lives with his black mistress and children), or even Dill Harris (Jem and Scout's summer neighbor).

if you are against tom, i'd try Walter Cunninham (the one who showed up at the jail to lynch Tom).

How do I write a one minute monologue for a character. Should it be in first person or third?

I’m not familiar with this series but here’s my suggestion: Have Zara talk about getting ready to go on an adventure with some of her friends and how each friend approaches the adventure differently. One might be a bit afraid but gathers her courage and Zara always has to give him/her a pep talk. Another friend might bring too many things in his/her backpack and Zara always tries to get him/her to lighten the load. Another friend might like to take tons of photos and Zara gets a little ticked because she never looks good in any of them. It’s only a minute, that should take about one page. Start the monologue with an opening sentence like, “Let me tell you how much work I have to do before these trips.” And end with a sentence like, “I really don’t mind helping all my friends. I know there’s times where they help me.” It’s good to have your monologue have a theme and have some type of lesson learned or a message.Good luck. It won’t be as hard as you think once you get going. Be sure to make Zara speak like we all speak. For example you probably wouldn’t say: He is always prepared. You would probably say, “He’s always prepared.”

What are some ideas to write a monologue?

It is better to write your own monologues and I tell you , it is just a piece of autobiography or biography. Basically it is a story telling. People love to listen to emotional monologues. I remember once I wrote for a schoolboy, a monologue of ten minutes, “How it feels to be an orphan” and by the time I was done, I could see some faces in tears. Next time I wrote a monologue for someone on, the pain of being a single parent. The participant got an awardIt should be like a solo artist working on drama. Thus you can pick up your own subject that you are passionate about. If you still can’t you can proceed to a professional and get it done but I would suggest you to go ahead with your own creativity.

Do you have to write a gay character's interior monologue different to their heterosexual counterparts?

ALL characters should have different interior monologues. It doesn’t matter if a character is straight or ‘gay’.Being ‘gay’ will only alter their thoughts when it comes to being attracted to or having sex with other people. Unless you’re writing porn it usually makes no difference. As an experiment, write a scene as if the character is straight and then write it as if they’re ‘gay’.What difference did it make?If it made a massive difference and sex wasnt involved that says a lot more about you than it does about your characters. When you walk down the street about one in twenty people are ‘gay’. Do they walk differently, shop differently, drink coffee differently or are they just like you?Try to write characters and not caricatures.Good luck :)
