Are there songs about being wrongly accused of something you did not do?

"That's the Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia" originally sung by Vicki Lawrence. Other versions followed by several artists including Reba. Good luck!!

What does it feel like to be wrongfully accused of something?

I suppose it depends on what it is. I've been falsely accused of racism on more than one occasion for pointing out facts, such as the prevalence of corruption in certain Native bands. I just laughed at the idea and the person so accusing. I've been accused of being a Nazi sympathizer for some pretty ludicrous reasons (and I'm Jewish, so that really should offend me). I often shake my head at such idiocy. What really hurt though, was being falsely accused of domestic violence by my kids’ mom. It was shown in court that this was not only false, but the accusations were to give her an advantage in custody. And the fact that she was abusive towards me was also shown. Repercussions for her? Zero. Nada. Nothing. She even walked away from her legal fees and never paid them. And it cost me thousands to get the shared custody I now have. So, those false accusations really hurt! Really, really hurt. And, yes, I still hold a lot of resentment and anger for it.

I'm being accused of something i didn't steal?

I went to my husbands dads house the other day, and When we arrived home we got a call from them saying My husband had stole an ipod but as this is his son, he started blaming me. Me nor my husband have this thing i was with him the whole time yesterday, and im pretty sure living with him i would have came across it, nothing. So they are pressing charges im not to worried cause ill take a lie detector test, so will my husband. The one thing i am worring about my husband has a case from his past that makes him a felon He was charged with burglery and breaking an entry when he was eight teen. Hes on probation, until he pays off all his fines. And he really has been doing so much better since then he does nothing wrong no drugs no stealing, and his father is pressing charges on us both, with this felony my husband has will he be arrested for whats over his head? I know you cant get arrested without proof but since of his past record can they hold that against him? & isn't there something you can do if we both get charged as not guilty like isn't there away to sue him for wrongfully accusing? Thanks(:

When you are being accused about something you did not do, what do you do?

Whenever someone accuses you of anything, your reaction or response depends on what situation you are in, what the other person means to you and what will be the long term effects of your response. In my opinion, if you don't hold any worth for the other person and the outcome will not be largely determined or affect you with your response, I suggest that you should not even think of providing any sort of clarification. You know that you have not done anything that the other person is accusing you of, and I don't think it is worth your effort to make him believe in you, provided that situation doesn't affect you greatly.Mind it, you do have some self-respect.Another case can be that you are caught in a situation where the person involved in making accusation is not important to you, but the condition of the situation and accusation is. In this part, I would try to reconcile with the person and try to make him believe in me. I will be honest with him and try to make him change his opinion. But if he is not convinced, I would try not to meddle into the affairs for long, instead I would try to persuade others who are involved in the situation and come out of everything with a decent image.Third case can be that the accusation is very serious, and the person involved in making the accusation is very important to you. This is the most difficult one as neither you can let them have that view, nor you can go in depth to prove your point. In this case, I would try very hard to get them change their perspective, try to show them what the actual situation is and I would not leave any stone unturned to make them believe that their accusation was incorrect. But you should not in any case compromise with your self-respect, because your self-respect does have its self-respect.

What should you do if you are wrongly accused of stealing?

I AM NOT A LAWYER. THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE.Wrongfully accused or innocent? Were you arrested and charged with a crime or did someone eat the last package of cupcakes? To me, “Wrongfully accused” means “guilty with blurred evidence”. 2 words now equal 4 and the GAME begins. “Inocent”, one word! Never offer more than necessary. If you need a muzzle buy one!If you have been charged with a crime keep your mouth shut and contact a lawyer ASAP. And NEVER, and I mean never, say “wrongfully accused” again. In a court of law WORDS begin to defy both physics and definition. I'd suggest hitting a law library to educate yourself concerning your charges and the punishments they may carry. Discuss your case with your lawyer only, and ask questions. Take part in your defense BEFORE entering a court room.Unless you are wealthy you will be propositioned to trade that innocence for quick resolution to avoid a financial boondoggle. For guilty people plea court could be beneficial. For innocent people of modest means this can become a nightmare. And guess what? Nobody cares.I have been a successful fool! I'm currently reprising my role as “The Fool”. DO NOT BE A FOOL!…and if you are guilty???? Hold yourself accountable, take personal responsibility, and be a god damn man.

My employer is accusing me of something that I didn't do?

He said they have never fired anyone for "using another employee's number". The problem is, I didn't freaking use it. My number is all over the place on transactions that night. In one case, he said there was a log-off of one number and a log-on of my number in 3 freaking seconds - immediately and back to back according to the computer system. Among his words were that "they've never fired anyone for admitting they used another employee's number. Many employees have been documented, but not fired. What you can be fired for is dishonesty, however. Do you know what could happen to you if you were found to be guilty?" So he's full of it. Any help out there?

My boss wrongfully accused me of stealing can I take legal action ?

Ok so yesterday my boss accused me of stealing a bottle of water and a choclate bar I work at a grocery store and I explained to her that I bought it at the cvs down the street and I didn't steal it, she brought me to her office to further discuss it and I showed her my cvs receipt and just said she was sorry and I went back to work. I don't see any reason why she thought I would steel it especially if she didn't see me take anything. Can I take legal action?
