Xbox 360 Wired Controller For Pc

Is there a way to make an Xbox wired controller wireless?

In theory yes but not as you may expect. If you were able to fine a usb yo Bluetooth adaptor that would allow you to plug the wired controller into it then connect to a Bluetooth receiver you would have a wired wireless controller. BUT this would only work on PC not an actual XBOX. To make it work on an Xbox you would need an old school style dongle that plugs into the Xbox and had a transmitter that plugs into the controller.Either way is highly unlikely unless you are an engineer

Do you have to charge a wired Xbox 360 controller?

Wired controllers do not have to be charged because they draw power directly through the wire. Wireless controllers on the other hand run on batteries or a battery pack and need to be charged or replaced. Also a wireless xbox 360 controller won't work with your computer unless you have a windows compatible controller.

How do i use my Xbox 360 Wired Controller to play Hitman Contracts for the PC?

If you have a standard Xbox controller (not 360) you can usually assign the keys to correlate with keyboard functions. I used this on games like worms, for example x button does the same as x key on the keyboard.

I've not used a 360 controller with a pc, so cannot suggest anything else.
However if you don't have a normal Xbox controller, ignore me unless you can borrow one to test :) It may work out to be a waste of money for your game.

I need help getting my wired Xbox 360 Controller to work on my PC?

So I recently purchased a wired Xbox Controller to use on my Alienware X51.
This is the controller I purchased:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008JABA66/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It says Windows 7 compatible and I have Windows 7 64 bit. I plug it in and it begins searching for drivers on Windows update. After awhile, it just says no driver found. It doesn't work in any games or at all. I plugged it into my laptop and the drivers installed just fine. Everywhere I've looked says that the drivers should have been on my computer already. I've checked the controller's website and it has nothing.Do you guys know of a way I could transfer the drivers from my laptop to my desktop? I've been at this for a while now and I really need help.

Ima take a guess that its probably the cord, before you tilt it hold it in that position and if it dont spazz out then its the wire.If you want to fix what the above is the problem you can either dont tilt it at all or use eletrical tape on the part with the short in it(play with it to find it), if not, ignore everything said here.

How do I use my Xbox 360 controller to control my PC?

Wired Xbox 360 controllers are straightforward, and install easily, by simply plugging in the device. But for wireless controllers the path is a little trickier. You will need to purchase a Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. These receivers are slightly expensive, costing between Rs 1200 to 2000, and there are many fake ones also present. The official Microsoft version will be a tad more expensive, but it's worth it.Watch video below for more instructions:

Guitar Hero... how to connect a wired controller to XBOX 360?

Before you start, Check a few things. Is there a Guide button? If you flip the guitar on the back there should be a sticker. It should read " X-Plorer Controller -This class B digital device compli....that may cause undesired operation." In the bottom left hand corner of the sticker there, It should say," Model No. 95055 , 5V 400mA, Made in China, HV1.0 "

I will refer to the word "controller" instead of saying Guitar. Its much easier for me.

If it does have every thing listed above or closely to it, try plugging the controller first into your computer to check if it works. It should say New Device Found , if your using Windows.

If it does work or you don't have a computer, First turn off your 360. Plug in your controller through the front of the 360. There should be a little flap near the bottom that folds back and exposes two usb ports. Plug in your controller into any port there, and turn on your 360. Look at your guitar. The guide button should light up. When the 360 loads and goes to the main menu, You can navigate to other Blades, "Media, System, Xbox Live, Marketplace, etc., with the strum bar. The A button on a REGULAR Xbox 360 Controller should be green on the guitar and the B button should be red. If you it still doesn't work, try the other usb port in the front and the one in the back, on top of the ethernet port. If it still doesn't work go back to Target and get a replacement. There known to be defective guitars. They usually end up in the swap meet.

You should still have your receipt, right?
