Xbox Live Question For Xbox Live Players

XBOX Live Question?

I am not totally 100% sure but I think that if you are reported to Bungie they will usually make sure that the acuazations are founded in reality. They made mention before the game was released as using this function to review the games of reported modders.

Why do Xbox players have to pay for Xbox Live still?

As an avid Xbox user, I have a good reason. Xbox Live is a very good service which connects millions of people across the world, and doing that with minimal lag is impressive (granted, its not as good as it could be). Maintenance if the servers are only part of it, hiring the people to run everything and fix bugs and crashes. It may sound inexpensive, but when you're running a network that spans much of the globe, it's going to cost a pretty penny. This goes with why Xbox Live users say for the service. We realize the money goes into providing a very fun and connective service which we can enjoy at any time. Yes, some part of it goes to Microsoft as profits, what company dosen’t do that? They're still a business and needs to make money, not just consistently break even. So all in all, while it's not a perfect service (what us?) Xbox Live's costs may be pricy (perhaps a bit much so at times) but it is very worth it and very understandable, which is why gamers continue to pay the cost.

Xbox live question please help?

I did some investigating and you probably read something like this..

Q: What is NAT and why do I care about it?

A: In extremely simple terms, NAT (Network Address Translation) helps determine how your router interacts with the rest of the internet. If your NAT settings are restrictive, you may have problems connecting to other players. To test your settings, go to the Xbox 360 Dashboard and test your connection. At the bottom of the test results, you will see your ‘NAT Type.’ You want it to say ‘Open’ – if it says ‘Moderate’ or ‘Strict’ you may experience some problems.

Here are some examples of NAT:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_address_translation#Different_types_of_NAT

See how you're able to send information to the other servers but the servers cannot send information back to you? That's what Bungie is talking about.. You need to switch your settings from "moderate" to "open" so the your router and the servers can send/receive game information freely..

Unfortunately I don't know the name or model number of your router so this is the extent of my abilities in assisting you.. Once you find that information, you can easily Google "How to make *name/model* router work for Halo (or other game)" and find out what ports you need to open, or how to change the settings on the router, etc..

Good luck, bud!

Can Xbox players play live against Xbox one players?

From a technical perspective there is no reason that the type of system a game is running on should make a difference to whether it can work together with another system. A properly engineered network abstraction layer allows the network connections to work irrelevant of the hardware. As long as the clients adhere to the same network interface contract it doesn't matter if they are running on PC, Mac, iOS, PS4, or whatever. That's the whole point of abstraction. The reason PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 players can't all play the same Call of Duty together has nothing to do with the technology involved. It is purely a business problem. The console companies don't want them to play together, and they are in charge of the networks. That's it, pure and simple.

If you submit a player review on xbox live does the person who u reviewed knows who reveiwed him ???

nope. simple as that. if you're talking halo 2 or halo 3, then they definately can't see if you reviewed them. but if you're doing it through the xbox 360 dashboard, i'm not positive but also pretty sure they can't see you reviewed them. i don't own a 360, but i can't see why it would let the person know you left them feedback

How many Players can play the xbox 360 at same time?

up to 4 on one console but you can link up via wifi largest wifi is 32 i think

Can you retract xbox live player reviews?

Nope sorry the only other option is to choose the oppisite of what you choose, so if your choice is Avoid and you dont want to avoid, choose prefer.

Playing-Downloadable-Content-o... question, Xbox live; no offline Bioshock 2 (Minerva’s Den) DLC?

I am new to Xbox Live, though not to Xbox. I only signed up so I can expand the games I like, but have little use for multiplayer content because most games do not use BOTS, and thus cannot be played with just one human player.

I thought I could just get the DLC I wanted then go on ahead and play as I have been since I got the Xbox 360 about a year ago – offline. The problem is that some of these single-player expansions cannot be played without first signing on to Xbox Live. My Xbox is not even set up near a DSL port; I had to set the Xbox up elsewhere temporarily on a friend’s computer line to get the content; I don’t live where I bought the downloads – I don’t even OWN a computer at home (I use an Android).

I spent a lot of money on those Microsoft points to buy many DLC, and was careful not to buy anything I can’t use – like multiplayer maps, or anything I’d need to be online for. Yet five of the downloads need to connect to Xbox Live to work, even though they are just single-player expansions. Like Bioshock 2 (Minerva’s Den), F.E.A.R 2: Reburth, for example. Without a way to play offline, I just spent a lot of money to reduce my hard-drive space; I’ll not use it if I cannot play offline. Xbox Live was very clear about no refunds, but not at all clear about telling you that you need to be online to play single-player expansion-pacts.

So, is there any way to make them work offline, or perhaps use the points for something else?

Star Trek Legacy for Xbox 360 Question?

When playing Star Trek Legacy for Xbox 360, is the only way to play Multiplayer on Xbox Live, or can you do it with another person in the room. If you can please tell me how. Thanks! :D

Do you still play your Xbox 360?

Thanks for the A2A, Louise Tesoriero.Yes, kind of. I don’t play on my physical Xbox 360 slim console any more, but I do play Xbox 360 games on my Xbox One. So, the answer is, kind of.The last time I turned on my Xbox 360 itself was to copy some of the game saves to the cloud so I could use them on the Xbox One. However, I haven’t played an actual game on my Xbox 360 slim hardware since the Xbox One launched in late 2013.I have played Red Dead Redemption, Fallout: New Vegas and The Elder Scrolls Oblivion in earnest on the Xbox One (they are 360 games). I have a handful of other Xbox 360 titles which I have occasionally loaded, but more to toy around in than actually play. What I really want to play on the Xbox One is the Xbox 360 game Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It had the best version of the Hogwarts castle of any of the games, and the game was genuinely fun… the best of the Harry Potter movie tie-in games, IMO. Unfortunately, it has not yet been made compatible with the Xbox One. To play that one, it looks like I’ll have to go back to my Xbox 360 Slim.
