XBOX One initial set up at Army AIT?
I recently purchased an XBOX One. I have internet in the barracks that I pay for but it's similar to hotel Internet. To use it you don't have a router, you connect to wifi then log on a website that verifies it. There is a little Ethernet cable jack in my room but it's not a router. I don't know anybody who has an xbox one here but I know people play online all the time with their ps3 and Xbox 360. I'm confused on how to do this initial set up? Why won't the XBOX One connect to wifi? Even then I have an Ethernet cord. I'm getting frustrated. Can anybody help?? Much appreciated! -PVT Bever

If you look at the letter keys they have green symbols on them such as @ £ % ^ & * ect. If you want to use these then you need to press that green button in the left bottom corner and then press the button with the selected symbol that you want. As for the orange button well again if you look at the letter buttons they have orange symbols on them like " $ \ ect. To get these to work you need to press the orange button before pressing the button with the symbol you want on it. Hope this helps ^^

dont make illegal disks, i got away with it for 3 and a half months and xbox then detected it and banned me, i had halo 3 and gta4 copy disks, they ban your xbox permanently and you have to buy another xbox, your profile is fine though :)
How can I fix my XBox if it has a "Red Ring of Death"?
Yes there is my friend..DONT DO THE TOWEL THING THOUGH... ok!? You need to replace the X-clamps with screws and some washers, I did it to a friends about 4 months ago and its still running strong. What happens is the cpu or gpu which ever one it is i forget will break loose from its solder if the xbox overheats because the board will warp causing the chip to break off the solder points. What happens when you replace the xclamps is it puts enough preasure back on the chips in the rite place that when you overheat the console again it melts the solder and re-sets the chip. Why doesn't Amazon let me use gift card balance?
I just had this problem with a parent’s Amazon account. They did not want to register a credit/debit card with Amazon, and so they redeemed a gift card. However, the option to use the gift card balance was disabled for whatever item they tried to purchase.The problem was that they were trying to deliver the item to a “Local Collect” location (e.g. a post office). I guess Amazon doesn’t allow this, because it makes it easier to use stolen gift cards without getting caught. Once I changed the delivery location to their home address, the gift card balance was enabled.

I know I can send it back to microsoft or contact them. the warranty is over and i have already ripped it apart. all i need to know is how to update the firmware. Microsoft will not tell me how, they will tell me to send it to them so they can do it, and i can pay for it. And i already know about the xclamp fix. I applied it and it did not work.

Well, the 3 Lights have come to be known as the "Red Rings of Death" :O And it means that there is some hardware malfunction within your Xbox 360. There is also a chance that it could be your power supply. There is a combination of the ways the lights work. It depends on which side the lights are on, for different malfunctions. Go to their support page on their website. Sooooo for now you can't play your Xbox now, sorry. :P But if you still have warranty feel free to go to their website and follow step by step directions to send it to Microsoft for repair. There are also self-repairs that you can research but if you do it wrong, you can't send it in anymore (it will void your warranty) I've had this problem too, and had to send in my Xbox. Does WiFi slow down because too many people are connected to it?
WiFi is a shared system and so as more people connect to it then each person will get a smaller share.Actually its even worse than that.In the downlink the WiFi access point can see all the packets waiting to be sent in its buffer and can make a reasonable job of fairly sharing the finite resource.In the uplink however each device is basically fighting for the right to transmit. If there are few users then its unlikely two devices will attempt to transmit at the same time and so it works reasonable well. However, once we have too many users then we will often get collisions which forces a thing call random backoff. Net effect is that more and more time is wasted in collisions and so the link has less time to actually carry useful traffic.Furthermore, as the up and down links share the same carrier and the wasteful uplink starts consuming time that could have been used to carry downlink.Also as one WiFi access point starts to load up then the interference to other nearby ones on the same channel will also suffer and so the neighbours also slow down.So yes. WiFi bitrates per user does slow down as more users connect and what's more the total traffic summed over all users per access point also slows down.
