I don't have an original ID card with me, just a copy of a PAN card. Will they allow me on a domestic flight?
Hey, You will need an original ID to travel in India domestically and to travel out of India. You will need to have either of the following in ORIGINAL1. PAN CARD2. VOTER ID CARD3. DRIVER's LICENSE4. ADHAAR CARD ( I am not sure if this is being accepted now. Long back it was not) Please note, company ID cards etc. will not be accepted. If you don't have these in originals, please make sure to have them. I think Xerox Copies may be accepted if it is Attested by 1st Grade Govt. Official. RegardsShreyas
How to prove that I'm a college student?
Do you have a college ID with the current school year stamped on it? Along with a copy of your school schedule that might be sufficient. You may also be able to get an unofficial copy of your transcript from the admissions office or from your adviser. Your adviser might also be able to write a short letter on school stationary stating that you are a full time student at the college/university. I think your best bet would be a copy of your ID paired with an unofficial transcript. I hope this helps. Good luck with finishing your degree I am sure you will do very well!
Is it illegal to photocopy a birth certificate?
I've read that it's illegal to do this. However, I've seen applications from government agencies, including police departments, that accept photo copies of birth certificates. Does anyone know if it's really illegal to copy them?
