Xperia Sp Is Good Or Not

How good of a phone is the Sony Xperia SP?

I think that Xperia SP is a pretty good phone. But talking about the features it offers for that price, I'm actually not impressed. I feel that it is costly. But as far as my experience with the phone, I enjoyed using the phone and there is no lag and you can multi task pretty well. Other than all that, SP is actually known for its battery life. If your a moderate user, then the battery will last for a day very easily. So in the end, it all depends on what type of a user are you and how much are you willing to pay.If you want my honest opinion about the phone, I wouldn't buy that phone because its not only old but most of the Xperia phones tend to become slow if you install too many apps. When the phone is new, the performance is great but once you install apps, it becomes slow.

How should I make my Xperia SP run smoother?

My suggestions is that take a full back up of ur phone factory rest it and begun downloading apps that u need from play store dont install it from the backup apk files and begin like a newly bough phone and 3rd dont use catch cleaning applications instead of doing so do a reboot to ur phone once in a day this will clear the unnecessary catch and maintain the necessary catch so u will not found it laggy and 4th always try to keep a free space of about 4gb in ur device if u follow this things u will certainly see a huge differenceand one more tip is that if u keep ur phone in flight mode for about 3-4 hrs and then remove it the phone shows some good performace for some period of timefor about (1 months)depends upon ur usage.

I would like to root my xperia sp and decided to go for cyanogenmod. How good is cyanogenmod?

First of all, Cyanogen mod just gives you a taste of upcoming android versions which possibly Xperia SP won't receive (as of latest news), and believe me u won't feel the difference between a good stock based Rom and CM. Besides, CM always have some bugs, a list of which you can easily read by googling on CM( f0r eg. systemui force close). After all, you have bought your phone to use all its features, so why should you sacrifice those features for CM. The CM UI is same as stock boring android (black background) which looks monotonous and like all other android phones. However stock based ROMs use sony UI which at the same time elegant and simplistic. Personally I am not a CM fan because of its ordinary look. Still if u want to install CM, go for it.

You can usually do that two ways depending on what you prefer or what you are able to do.To turn off your Sony Xperia SP device, quick-press the Power button and choose the option for switching it off from the menu. Alternatively, long-press the Power button and it will turn off.Connect the USB cable to your device.Hold the Volume Down button and connect the other end of the USB cable to the computer. You will now see the fastboot mode option displayed on your device and it’s ready to start using tools like the Sony Flash Tool.

Is The Xperia Sp Suitable For Me?

Hi there Yahoo Community,

I own a xperia u (white) and its really slow and laggy and rubbish so I think its time for me to upgrade.

I have a budget of 80-100 to buy a phone used or new of eBay or anything.

My primary choice of upgrade has been the Xperia Sp.

Now I have a few questions to be honest I'm kind of a heavy gamer and I've heard the xperia sp has 1gb ram and a 1.7mhz dual core processor my friend has the Xperia Z which has 2gb ram and a 1.5mhz quad core processor my question is which is the better processor for gaming I kind of now that quad core is better but won't the 1.7mhz make up for the quad core although its a dual core won't it be better because the quad core is only 1.5mhz but the dual core is 1.7mhz.

The other thing is as I already mentioned above I'm kind of a heavy gamer my favourite games are:

Real racing 3
CSR racing/CSR classics
Asphalt
Subway surfers
Temple run
Angry birds
Hill race climbing

The question is will the Xperia Sp be able to put up with all these games without lag or very little lag that is barely noticeable.

Another thing is I have heard that after updating this phones software it gets many bugs like screen flickering lag battery draining quickly and touch problem and other stuff is there anyway to fix/avoid this and will Sony ever release KitKat update for the phone as I've heard the phone is very capable,

Should I go ahead and buy it and if I don't find away around these bugs root and install a ROM for this phone,

Is the Sony Xperia X phone the best or not?

Well I don't know of the best but I'm using Sony Xperia L right now. So far for me, the earphone produces excellent sound, the battery lasts pretty good, the phone has fallen on the floor (not wooden) for 14 times and not a scratch or internal problems I've noticed, the updates are coming regularly, BUT....BUT it's harder to find CUSTOM ROMs for Xperia phones. If your phone falls under the *limited edition & not many people use it*, you're in bad luck if you want custom stuffs. This is only my opinion. I may be wrong. Just wanted to share what I think. :)

What is your review of Xperia SP?

★★★★SPlendid!1.Processor: Snapdragon S4 Pro dual core 1.7Ghz. The beast! Outperforms the likes of Quad-core flagships of last year like Galaxy S3, and HTC One X+.You can check the benchmark scores on the web2. Battery- one of the highest capacity batteries. (Non-Removable) Easily lasts for one and half days thanks to the 720p screen. That said, the performance varies greatly with the usage pattern. The standby time is superb thanks to the "Stamina Mode"The above record is not fake, however the phone was rooted and unnecessary applications including the bloatware were removed3.Screen- HD Screen 720p 4.7 inches that translates to 319ppi that are pretty decent. Although you don't get the punch of a FULL HD Screen but remember what you are paying for it. The viewing angles aren't the best in the market but it isn't a deal breaker for me.4. Camera- Camera is a let down for me not because the quality is poor or something but because you expect top of the line cameras from Sony. The sensor is good Exmor RS. But the pics are bit too noisy but that's something we hope would be fixed in the future updates. In nutshell not the best 8MP shooter out there but does its job.Secondary Camera is standard VGA nothing to boast about.5. Build Quality & Design- As always One department Sony is brilliant at is the design. Excellent finish, good build quality, the Illumination bar standing out as the main attraction. Also the aluminium frame around the body with two neatly placed screws is eye pleasing6. Graphics- Adreno 320 same as in Xperia Z is a gaming powerhouse. Games like GTA Vice city, Max Payne, Real Racing, NFS MW Work like a charm. Gamers delight!7. Internal memory- is low considering 8GB with user accessible only about 5.37 GB. That shouldn't be an issue if you plan to root your device because then you can move your apps to SD Card8. Future updates- it is marked to receive 4.3JB update by December 2013 and is also reported to receive Android 4.4 Kit kat by GSMARENAAll in all it's a great buy for the price if you are looking for a smooth experience with tonnes of Raw power for both Gaming and other less intensive activities and casual photography with great battery life!

I want to buy a Sony Xperia SP. Is it a good mid-range smartphone?

I had that phone recently and I can say it was the best Sony phone I'd ever owned at the time. The feature I loved most was the illumination bar. Unfortunately Sony managed to find a way to spoil everything. The phone received a few updates that made it virtually unusable. Although it improved a bit I'd not advice anyone to buy it. You can look at other options like the Xperia M2 E3 and the T2 Ultra. If you don't mind bulk then I'd also recommend the Xperia Z Ultra, one of my friend says it's still good. Sony's a strong brand, I doubt you'll be disappointed.
