How many questions can YOU ask on yahoo! Answers, per day?
Upon reaching level 5, a person's questions/answers are unlimited, Answers started back in Dec. 2005. Many of the top point leaders worked really hard to get where they are and they consistently did all of their allowed daily quota of answering, voting and rating (no pts now). They put forth good effort into answering questions well. The scoring system is still evolving (evidence is the recent "no pts for rating" rule). Some answerers who started soon after Answers began did benefit from advantageous rules such as being at Level 6 & 7 while they still allowed unlimited rates/votes at those levels, even Level 5 had unlimited rates/votes at one time if I recall correctly. Your question is hardly frickin' and is interesting.

What Western email service works in China?
Yes, you can use Yahoo and Hotmail. You cannot use Gmail and you cannot use Chrome. You can usually use Bing as a search enging by not Google. You can also use Firefox. However, if you have a VPN, you can access anything. It is a cheap cost to circumvent the Chinese government's cowardice and stupidity...VPN is the only way to access everything. However, you can access BBC and Yahoo News etc without one. There is little rhyme or reason to the blockages. But you can also use Chinese email services. They can all be accessed by the Chinese government and often are. This also applies to the mobile email apps. Usually, when doing business with Chinese organisations, I use Yahoo for personal and Gmail for business. Keeps them separate and does limit the access by the PRC.
I don't know my recovery email. I need to recover my Yahoo mail. What should I do?
If you have provided a mobile number then you will get a password on it. If you have not given any alternative email or password then also there is third way of recovering your password by answering your security question. While attmpting to login don't try a new system. In such cases where you don't even remember password login from a new IP address makes the server suspicious and may turn down your request taking you as fraudster. Therefore use your regular device (smartphone/laptop/desktop) which you always use for accessing your yahoo email to login. More than this I can't tell as I myself have gmail id. Whatever options I told just now are the normal options given by all service providers for email recovery
How do I reset my Yahoo account when I do not have access to my old phone number?
If you haven't given an alternative email, haven't configured security questions, and haven't provided a mobile number that is current, then thats 3 strikes. I can't advise you if you have neither of those 3 safeguards set. Try contacting Yahoo support, but your chances of regaining access don't look good.
Yahoo has just locked me out of my own account, insisting that I change my password (just because they say that I must). Should this be a legal action by web sites? Is this similar to having government officials locking people out of their homes?
Do you own Yahoo.com? No? Then it's not "your" account. It's Yahoo's account, which they are granting you access to. Hyperbole about "extorting" at "gunpoint" and "forcing people from their homes" isn't going to help your case when making comparisons to changing your password on a free internet service. If you don't update your password regularly, it is at greater risk of being compromised. This is basic Internet 101. If your account is compromised, it puts other Yahoo users at risk, and forces them to spend time and energy dealing with your own incompetence in securing your account. This is why Yahoo, and most every other website Terms of Service, requires you to take responsibility for your own account security, and expressly tells you that your access may be suspended for this (and often, for any) reason. Literally every time you use Yahoo, you agree to these terms.What would be a better analogy is why you think you have a legal right not to be forcibly ejected from some random stranger's private house after you refuse to follow their publicly posted house rules. I mean, if we're going with a house analogy.
How do I view email older than a few months on Yahoo Mail on my old, slow computer without buying a premium account?
I don’t have a premium Yahoo account, and I have mail that is over 13 years old. I didn’t use Yahoo much after I signed up with Gmail, mainly because of their being hacked so many time, so I had over 50,000 unread messages. I wanted to clean it up so I could use it again.I have Thunderbird for my email client, it works in systems as old as Windows XP SP2. I went into my Yahoo account settings and allowed third party software, put my email and password into Thunderbird, and several hours later I had ALL my mail. It took me about an hour to clean it up, and now I have a nice clean mailbox at Yahoo again. My friend sent me some pictures of my son’s baptism 10 years ago that I thought were lost, but no, they were still sitting there nicely on Yahoo’s servers waiting for me to download them.
Does anyone else find the "yo mama" jokes offensive?
I can understand that it can be offensive to you.. but in your question you asked why can't they make fun of someone else.. like "yo dad", etc. Now if you think it's inappropriate to make fun of others' mothers, why do you think it's more appropriate to make fun of someone's dad, then.. and mothers and fathers used to be children too.. and they had friends.. so why do you think it's more appropriate to make fun of a friend of someone's.. rather than someone's mom? What if that friend of someone's is a mother? With all that said.. to answer just your question in bold, YES of course someone else find them offensive.. there are so many people in the world. Do you think you'd be the only one?? Why do people think they're funny? Well, I guess the same reason that anyone thinks anythig is funny.. some laugh at random things.. some just love to laugh.. some were brought up that way or grew up in such an environment that taught them to respond with a laugh and it just becomes automatic, etc. There are so many reasons. Why do people laugh when others trip and fall, or say something "stupid"? No reason in particular, really. And what's wrong with laughing? These jokes shouldn't be appropriate in any situation but why take offense at people who laugh at them.. why not think about who made the jokes in the first place and why? Of course this can go on forever.. and in the end it'd be pointless because there are so many people in the world.. and you can't stop everyone or anyone from thinking what they think. You can only change your own perspective and be the cause of your own well-being and control your emotional state. So let it all go, and just be healthy and happy :) P.S. No offense whatsoever. I'm purely stating the facts ;]
