It says on my Yahoo Answers that i have reached my daily limit to answering questions?

At Level 1 you are only able to answer 20 questions per day. This is so that you can 'learn the ropes' of the site. And to prevent someone from completely spamming the site with useless questions while they are still new. Also, people tend to make a few errors in judgment about what is appropriate to post. Those might result in a couple violation notices here and there. If there were no limits at the lower levels, then someone might post just a few too many inappropriate questions or responses and find themselves suspended from the site. So the limits are a way to protect the site (a little) and to protect new users from themselves.

You're at 216 points right now. You only need 34 more to get to Level 2. So, if you have any more votes or rates to do today, then you could do those. You can do each up to 20 times per day (on Level 1) for a point each. So you could still have as many as 40 points to earn before the day is out. If that is true, then you could be at Level 2 before the end of today, or tomorrow at the latest, and be able to answer 40 questions per day.

What led to the downfall of Yahoo answers?

Yahoo answers was generic Q&A or rather reached a generic level where there was 1) lot of spam2) Too little gratification for content creatorsthis lead to lesser usage for the same reason they even don't have a mobile app for the same.Quora on the other hand has more mature questions, is more social, has better recommendations and gratification. It is also entering the zone of so many users and problem of ever increasing spam. As long as it can maintain the relevance and good recommendations it will sail through. You can ask same question and yahoo answers and compare responses :)

When yahoo answers says "Sorry, you've reached your daily asking limit. Earn more points or come back tomorrow to ask more." how do you ask more questions on the current day? What do you have to do to do that?

There are limits connected to the levels of your account. To advance from one level to another, you need to collect points that can be obtained through answering questions, your answers being chosen as the best ones to particular questions etc. When you're a Level 1 user, for instance, you're only allowed to post 5 questions a day, when you move on to Level 2, the number of questions increases to 10 and so it goes. Take a look at the information here, it's all very detailed and should help a lot Points & Levels | Yahoo Answers

Why is Quora more popular than Yahoo Answers? What elements make it the more popular Q&A site?

A couple of years back, early 2015 I guess, I wanted to know about the basics of big data and its importance in industry.I googled “What is Big data”The first link popped up was Wikipedia - I opened in a new tab and set it aside. The second link was from Yahoo answers. I opened and was looking for some useful information. There were answers like:I was confused, irritated and most of the answers didn’t answer the question. The next link which popped was from Quora.I could find answers like this:Answer was by Balaji Viswanathan (பாலாஜி விஸ்வநாதன்) sir. That is the moment I followed him and read his other answers too! And that was the moment i decided not to refer yahoo answers for anything in future.Unlike Yahoo answers, Why was the answer better? It summed up all the information - technical explanation with real life examplesPictures made it easier for me to connect with answerThe credential “Ran a Big data company” made me believe the answer is from someone trustworthy.Upvotes and comments of appreciation from people in related field made me feel secured about the answerComments were healthy and was debating its future application. So, with no further discussions, Quora is always better than Yahoo answers.
