Yankees Month Of September Predictions Will They Sneak In Or Not

Why didn't Hillary know that Benghazi needed to be defended on Sept 11th?

There are hundreds of US embassies and consulates around the world. On a typical day there are several threats and security issues. The main state department security office has a hotline that any embassy can call. It's pretty busy. There are always people trying to sneak in the embassy. There are local workers that can't be trusted very much. There are strongmen, kingpins, clan leaders, all making requests and threats. All that stuff happens and is handled several levels below the Secretary of State. She may receive a weekly summary: the maids in Kyrgistan are stealing sheets. A small bomb went off last night outside the Peru embassy back door. The Yankee Go Home demonstration in Ecuador quit at 3AM but everybody is now working without much sleep. There red would be no point in the SoS micromanaging site security. There are dozens of people that know more about the situations and are better able to respond appropriately. As it was it was a fluid situation in a insecure country where we had few assets. Stuff happens. A whole lot more stuff happened under Bush and Reagan, funny how those incidents didn't set off an expensive chain of investigations. More embassy people died under Bush but you didn't hear a peep. One might think you have not the most pristine of motives in asking about this.

Should the US apologize to Japan for dropping nuclear bombs on their country?

I preface what I'm about to say by stating that I visited Japan incessantly for 3 years in the 1990s, and found modern Japanese people to be wonderful and polite. I have many great memories from my time there. So, I will use the term 'Imperial Japanese' to denote the difference from the Japanese of 75 years ago from those today. I'm NOT advocating hatred toward modern Japanese based on events of long ago.I am a student of war and history. I will start by saying that there is really no government in history that can be regarded as 100 percent righteous in war. As they say, war is hell. However, there has NEVER been a country as outwardly brutal as the Imperial Japanese during WW2. We can argue all you want regarding the relative need to use nuclear weapons to kill approximately 100,000 Japanese civilians, but first, we must account for the 30 MILLION CHINESE AND ASIAN-PACIFIC CIVILIANS killed by the empire of Japan during that war. The Asian Holocaust committed by the Japanese easily eclipses anything done by the Germans, and the Japanese have never apologized for most of it, or even admitted it occurred. Polls have shown that the vast majority of Japanese citizens TO THIS DAY cannot even admit their country participated in thoroughly brutalizing the Chinese mainland and vast areas of the Pacific rim. It's an academic debate, and there are easily arguments for and against the use of nuclear weapons to end the war. Who could possibly know for sure how the war would have ended if the bombs weren't dropped? It’s all speculation. But I would argue that Imperial Japan's sheer brutality and irreverence for civilian and P.O.W. life could ALMOST by themselves justify the bombs dropped. -Not to mention that they chose to sneak-attack Pearl Harbor and bring the U.S. into the war in the first place. Sorry, no country in the history of mankind ever needed to be thoroughly beaten into submission more than Imperial Japan. They earned it.Therefore, no apology is necessary, unless it is phrased “I'm sorry you put the U.S. into a position with your numerous crimes against humanity that we needed to end the fight with a resounding message of ‘Surrender or be annihilated.’”
