Yard Braids On Mixed Hair

Which is a better guard dog: German Shepherd or Rottweiler?

I've owned both dogs during my lifetime. I'll try to summarize!!GSD: Imagine a hamster on a squeaky hamster wheel. You know they are in the room the moment you walk in. They just keep running and running in order to burn off all of their energy except the hamster is your GSD and the wheel is your fence line. GSD are highly active and will constantly run your fence line while barking at any motion, person, sound or animal that may surround your yard/premise. This is great because potential intruders are well aware of their presence far before considering committing any crime in or near your home.Rottweilers: Picture a very loving and lazy housecat whose only desire is to be scratched, fed and to lounge. They too will FIERCELY protect you but unfortunately (for potential intruders) they may allow the person to get very close before they hear the infamous Rottie growl. Even worse, the person is already in the yard or the vicinity before realizing that they are being “stalked” by the Rottweiler. This is never a good sign. My neighbors didn't realize that I had a Rottweiler until they physically saw him because they never hear him. I have a friend who has several and they rarely bark and you don't know they are there until 7 Rotties walk in the room. This would never happen with a German shepherd because they are always heard before seen.Rottweilers are fiercely obsessed with guarding their owners and family. GSD are better herders and are obsessed with guarding their property. So you have to decide how close or far you want your dog to guard.I believe that the GSD is better at warding off potential threats whereas Rottweilers are better at “handling” the threat when it’s present. Neither dog will back down.

Whats the difference between 50's and 60's fashion?

I want to have a "retro" vintage party but I'm deciding if it should be 50's or 60's... or just a "Retro 50's/60's Dinner Party"

Is there a big difference?

Its a party for women only. As far as fashion ~ it's "anything goes" as long as its "Picturesque" So it could be casual or formal.

Can you help me out on this? Thanks a lot =)

Why does Head and Shoulders shampoo burn?

When you pour toxins on your head that’s called upsetting your scalp. It burns when it goes down your throat too (I don’t know if you’ve had this experience by accident. Burns horribly.)If you have dandruff, or a scalp condition, it means that your skin on top of your head has had enough of the toxic chemicals you’ve been pouring on it. When you pour a really toxic shampoo, on your head, such as Head and Shoulders is, you really feel it burn. (And in this case pain is no gain, stop it immediately or make your sensitivity to petroleum-based chemicals worse.)Perhaps also, your skin on the top of your head has an overload of Pfas, that is now being exposed as a substance in shampoo, that has been used in fire-fighting foam, has got into various water-tables and polluted some areas in Australia, and other places in the globe, to such an extent that you shouldn’t be eating anything grown there. Some of the chemicals in Head & Shoulders that I would suspect of causing the burn include-sodium lauryl sulphatesodium laureth sulphateCocamidopropyl BetaineCocamide MEAGlycol distearateSodium benzoateMethylchloroisothiazolinoneParfum…Look further here Behind the Label: Head and Shoulders classic cleanIf you have dandruff, *don’t burn your head more!* that’s what your scalp is saying. Your scalp is asking for something nice that you’d eat or drink and consider healthy, in the same way your stomach asks for nice things. Acidic herbs/ weeds (picked from your garden, or fresh seeped in water) will clean your hair/ head, and they won’t burn, because they’re not made of things that won’t give you an upset stomach. Some kinds of vinegar also are fine to pour on your head in small quantities, if your water is hard. Soapnuts are good grease-cutters, and won’t burn your scalp, but they’ll sting your eyes like chilli, and are not good eating. There’s a lot of toxic waste from the crude oil industry that needs to be dressed-up and up-sold, or the crude oil industry has to find a way to dump the waste, at their own expense. It makes sense to put it into products and market it to people like me and you, who live in a society where we’re told that we must put up with burns and stings from cleaning products, and chastise our skin for screaming out - please! please don’t put that rubbish on me anymore!

Why do show line German Shepherd dogs have a sloping back while working line German Shepherds have a straight back?

Show lines have a sloping back because conformation people are nutty. It’s bad for the dog and you find a lot more hip & back problems in show line GSDs.Here’s the problem. You want to know which one is a better family pet.GSDs with sloping backs have back problems & hip problems. You can find some with better builds but you need to ask about AND SEE the parents and grandparents to be sure that there aren’t going to be problems. Don’t take the word of someone who claims to be a good breeder. Go to a GSD club and talk to people. Or contact GSD rescue and see if they have some healthy dogs. GSDs are great dogs but their future health issues are going to be expensive.Working line GSDs are also great dogs. But they have a great deal of energy and they need a great deal of exercise. A lot. So the question is how much time, training and actual work can you give the dog?How big a yard do you have? Have you owned dogs before? Do you like dog sports? Are you a runner? Is there a beach, a lake somewhere for the dog to swim every day?GSDs are not dogs who can always be happy sitting at home. As my vet says, these are dogs who like jobs, and if you can’t find them one, they will find their own.Have you talked to your veterinarian about what type of dog might match up well with your family?
