Ye Poets Of Ya - How Do You Definition Of Beauty

The definition of meraphysical poet?

Do you mean metaphysical, rather than meraphysical? I have never heard the term meraphysical!

A metaphysical poet is one who deals with abstracts rather than writing about actual things or people, like more writing about ideas and debates rather than..say.. nightingales or grecian urns! A good example of a metaphysical poet is John Donne.

What is the meaning behind the poem "The Slave Auction"?

Here is the whole poem:

The Slave Auction

By Frances Harper

The sale began—young girls were there,
Defenseless in their wretchedness,
Whose stifled sobs of deep despair
Revealed their anguish and distress.

And mothers stood, with streaming eyes,
And saw their dearest children sold;
Unheeded rose their bitter cries,
While tyrants battered them for gold.

And woman, with her love and truth—
For these in sable forms may dwell—
Gazed on the husband of her youth,
With anguish none may paint or tell.

And men, whose sole crime was their hue,
The impress of their Maker’s hand,
And frail and shrinking children too,
Were gathered in that mournful band.

Ye who have laid your loved to rest,
And wept above their lifeless clay,
Know not the anguish of that breast,
Whose loved are rudely torn away.

Ye may not know how desolate
Are bosoms rudely forced to part,
And how a dull and heavy weight
Will press the life-drops from the heart.

What is the meaning? It is only necessary to read the poem once and
feel all the suffering and misery it contains.
Slavery,_ perpetuated by insane Whites, against black people.
They were treated like less than animals, mothers and children separeted, wounded souls and bodies, men in digrace and mutilated.
To me it's a crying poem for all the History, true history that it contains.
The images are well presented and only tears can be dropped from my
eyes.
As an Arian, I must say to the African race, I'm sorry and forgive me.

Good luck to you.
LIGHT BRIGHT FOREVER!

What are some beautiful Urdu and Hindi couplets?

My endearment with Hindi-Urdu is a long long story. Here are some of the best couplets I had found:Dhoop mein niklo ghataaon mein naha kar dekho. Zindagi kya hai, kitaabon ko hata kar dekho.  -Nida Fazli Translation- Walk in the sun, and bathe in the rivers. Throw aside your books, and see the beautiful scenery that life is.Ab ke hum bichade toh shayad kabhi khwaabon mein milein, jis tarah sookhe huye phool kitaabon me milein.  -Ahmad Faraz Translation- If we part this time, we may meet in our dreams, like the dried flowers found between the books.Saahil ke sukoon se kise inkaar hai lekin, toofaan se ladne mein maza hi kuch aur hai.  -Ale Ahmad Suroor Translation- Everyone loves the peace of coasts, but there is some unexplainable fun in fighting the storms.Jo log maut ko zalim karaar dete hain, khuda milaaye unhe zindagi ke maaron se. -Unknown Translation- Those who blame death for being unjust haven't experienced the misery that life is.Main akela hi chala tha janib-e-manzil magar log saath aate gaye aur kaarvan banta gaya. -Majhrooh Sultanpuri Translation- I started the journey towards my destiny alone but then the people started accompanying and it turned into a caravan.Hua hai tujh se bichadne ke baad ye maaloom, ki tu nahin thi, tere saath ek duniya thi.  -Ahmad Faraz Translation- It was after you left I realised that it wasn't just you, but a whole world within you.Khuda ki itni badi kaainaat mein maine, bas ek shakhs ko maanga, mujhe wahi na mila.  -Bashir Badr Translation- In this vast world full of people, I asked God only for one of them, but he took him/her away from me.Dil bhi pagal hai ki uss shakhs se wabasta hai, jo kisi aur ka na hone de na apna rakhe.  -Ahmad Faraz Translation- The heart is so stupid that it is attached to someone who neither allows me to love others nor does he love me.Shaakhon se toot jaaein woh pattey nahi hain hum, aandhi se koi keh de ki aukaat mein rahe.  -Rahat Indori Translation- It isn't easy to separate the leaves that we are from its branch, ask the storm to not cross its limit.Samaan bandh liya hai maine apna ghaalib, ab batao kahan rehte hain wo log jo kahin ke nahin rehte.  -Unknown Translation- I have packed my bag O'Ghalib, now tell me where do the ones who never stay faithful to others stay?—A.

What are sonnets supposed to be about?

Yeah, most sonnets tend to be about love or a lover's betrayal--check out Shakespeare's sonnets. Most ARE centered on the concept of love.

But now that we're in the 21st century, sonnets can be about pretty much anything you are passionate about.

What is your opinion of the "rosebud" metaphor?

With his addictive meter
and fetching message.
the poet rendered a pastel- toned
watercolor with his words.
This poet's reader knew and appreciated
a far more innocent view of
nature, her beauty, her temper
and of life in general, with light years
yet to be discovered.

The rosebud metaphor,
a too brief period of unjaundiced joy
that narrow window of peak allure
and great expectation
in an era when life expectancy
hovered in the mid 40 year old range.
Your addition is well done.

Why at the touch of love everyone becomes a poet? is Behind every poet there is a love failure/success? ?

i have been writing since class 3rd... technically..i wrote before that..but that ws the first time my writing got recongnised by times of india...

i have always been showered with various forms of love..but sticking to the form you are talkin bout...

no brother..its not the love..its the cleansing effect it has on a soul... leaving sheer innocence..innocence which expresses itself... and a pure unadulterated expression..magically turns out to be poetic... like beautiful petals ... pouring out of an enlightened heart.....

failure.. i nvr can understand this side...maybe cuz i havnt faced it... but..hw cn emotions fail..still maybe the hurt.. the questions... another strong emotion.. another expression...
that is why i hate it when people rubbish writings as emo...(including most of mine:p)... it is not necessary to be hurt to write dark... its just gushes of emotions that visit you...

touch wood.. i am the most loved fella i knw :p..
still i write dark.. its just emotions...
