Taking birth control pill at the same time every day?

To achieve maximum effectiveness of the birth control pill, it is best to take the medication at the same time every day. If you do forget, it is important to take the dose as soon as you remember or contact your pharmacist for specific instructions on how to take the missed dose if it has been 24 hours. Your pharmacist is always there to speak with, so even if he/she didn’t go over the medications with you when you picked it up, it is perfectly okay to reach out to them if you have questions; he/she will be happy to help you. If you find that you are having difficulty remembering to take your birth control pill, then it may be best to set a timer on your phone to remind you to take it every day or to make it a habit to take your pill every morning when you brush your teeth. If you are still having difficulty remembering to take the pill, you may want to consider discussing other birth control options, such as the intra-uterine device, patch, vaginal ring, birth control implant, or vaccine, which do not require daily dosing for maximum effectiveness.
It is best practice to use back up birth control for at least one month after starting on a birth control pill, but it is important to remember birth control pills do not protect against sexually transmitted infections and condoms should always be used to prevent the spread of these conditions.

My life is some what ruined......my first felony?

I had a misdemeanor when over 10 years ago. I was in an abusive relationship and when I finally defended myself by slapping my ex-husband, he called the police. They took his word over mine and I was arrested. Then the crappy appointed defense attorney told me to plead no contest. She said it was different from pleading guilty. I didn't know any better, so I did it. Now I know that there is no difference. Applications always ask if I've be convicted of, plead guilty or plead no contest to anything other than a minor traffic violation. I've dreamed of working in the medical field since I was a kid, and I can't do that now because of a stupid situation I got involved in when I was a teenager. You've got to do whatever you can to get a good attorney! Having a felony will affect you for the rest of your life and probably will keep you from doing what you want to do with your life. I know someone who couldn't even get a waiter job and ending up having to lie on his application just to get a job at Pizza Hut! Do whatever you can to get the charges reduced... you've got to fight for your future!!!!!

The following is a list of the projects, that I am familiar with, that have applied Machine Learning Algorithms. Some of them (marked with *) are still to be implemented:Statistical Analysis of Co-occurrence of Medicines in Prescriptions: Fast Unfolding Clustering algorithm was used to create groups of medicines (as visualized above) which occur frequently together in Prescriptions. Here each cluster typically corresponds to diabetes, arthritis, cardiovascular, nutritional or neurological disorders.Document Classification using SVMs: Queries from patients, in the form of emails were classified on the basis of the specialization that a doctor requires in order to answer them. Tf-idf (term frequency-inverse document frequency) and stemming was done on manually annotated data which was fed to Support Vector Machines based text-classifier.Optical Character Recognition for Hand-written Prescription Digitization: Cursive handwriting recognition task was transformed from an offline to online recognition task (Stroke Recovery), using the thinning morphological operator on the image and then getting a tracing path by running a Depth-First Search with Heuristics on the resulting image. This path was then fed to the Google Handwriting Recognition API. Markov Models were used to enhance the performance by using data on co-occurrence of medicines. (Simple demo presented below)Patient Disease Identification*: Processing medical transactions, lab test results and doctor appointment data of individual users to identify the disorders/diseases they might suffer from. Due to lack of annotated data, we plan to use Unsupervised Clustering algorithms (like K-Means) to group patients with similar ailments together.Drug Information Extraction*: Extracting structured information from unstructured blobs of text. This would involve NER (Named Entity Recognition) algorithms like Max-Entropy Markov Models (MEMM) and Condition Random Fields (CRF) as well as IE (Information Extraction) algorithms such as Bootstrapping (to learn rules for patterns).

What kind of decongestant can be taken while taking synthroid?

Drug Interactions Checker
Drug interaction results for the following 2 drug(s):

pseudoephedrine (sudafed)
levothyroxine (synthroid)

Interactions between your selected drugs
No results found - however, this does not necessarily mean no interactions exist. ALWAYS consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Other drugs that your selected drugs interact with
• There are 216 other drugs known to interact with sudafed (pseudoephedrine)

• There are 1141 other drugs known to interact with synthroid (levothyroxine)

I checked sudafed but you can go to this link and check other decongestants that you would like to take. Check to see if they interact in any negative way with synthroid.

Q. What about Over the Counter Drugs Like Cough Medicines, Cold Medicines, Decongestants?

Most packages of over-the-counter cough and cold medicines and decongestants say "Do not take if you have one of the following..." and then goes on to list thyroid disease. While you should always check with your doctor, it's generally understood that this warning is more applicable for people with hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) than hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). Because these drugs contain stimulants, the logic is for someone with hyperthyroidism to avoid adding even further stimulation or strain on the heart from these drugs. That said, some people with hypothyroidism do find that they become sensitive to ingredients like pseudoephedrine, what you'd typically find in Sudafed or other decongestants. Some doctors will recomend you try only a partial dose, and see if you have a reaction, and only then try to work you way up to the normal dose and see if it bothers you.

Is triaminic safe for pregnant women?

Making dietary changes is your first line of defense in treating hypothyroidism. Learn here https://tr.im/uphzC

Many people with hypothyroidism experience crippling fatigue and brain fog, which prompts reaching for non-nutritional forms of energy like sugar and caffeine. I’ve dubbed these rascals the terrible twosome, as they can burn out your thyroid (and destabilize blood sugar).

1. Just say no to the dietary bungee cord. Greatly reduce or eliminate caffeine and sugar, including refined carbohydrates like flour, which the body treats like sugar. Make grain-based carbohydrates lesser of a focus, eating non-starchy vegetables to your heart’s content.

2. Up the protein. Protein transports thyroid hormone to all your tissues and enjoying it at each meal can help normalize thyroid function. Proteins include nuts and nut butters; quinoa; hormone- and antibiotic-free animal products (organic, grass-fed meats, eggs, and sustainably-farmed fish); and legumes.

IIT BOMBAYYes . It's not a typo . I mean it with all my heartYou would be wondering , “ this guy has gone nuts ! It's the best college in the country “ . Well , no, it isn't .Where do I start about this place ?I remember entering the campus , and feeling “ wow ! My life is going to change ! “ . Change it did. , for worse .I had always heard how IITians were arrogant , rude , boasting creatures etc etc . Well I can assure you , the people passing out of this place are going to be all those things multiplied by 10 .My batchmates , for example . If shooting a person in the head would add a mark to their test scores , I bet 95% wouldn't think twice about it . What happens here is not something you'll call healthy competition . People are ready to go to sink to any depths to get ahead of one another , be it academics , sports , institute position of responsibility etc .There's not much threat of ragging here , as seniors aren't really interested in talking to you unless you are a girl or a popular , or as they say here , “machau “ guy . Any other person wanting to a senior is something they don't really encourage . One time the seniors will sugarcoat their tongue will be at the time of Mood Indigo and Techfest . That time you'll be made to feel real special , just to get the seniors work done . You will be manipulated really badly , and sometimes wish “ why the hell did I even wish to attend this ? “ .This place has pushed me down , down too far . I had my battles with depression from 10th class , but what I have experienced here , I don't think I am ever going to recover from that . I wake up every morning wishing I hadn't come here . The people here have sucked the life out of me . That's why I say with no guilt that I study at the worst college in the country .P.S : I know the college has arguably the best infrastructure and has lots of opportunities for students . But I seriously don't give a damn . If the people have made my coming out of my room a hellish experience , what the hell do I do with the infrastructure ??? . If you are someone who has had depression in the past and are thinking of joining here , welcome to hell . Make sure no one knows that you are suggesting from depression , as the people here will bully you with no limit .

Levothyroxine+Alka Seltzer severe sinus & cough (day)?

If I recall correctly, the AlkaSeltzer cold preparations with antihistamines in them all have warnings on them to be cautious if taking them if you have thyroid problems. If the one you took has Phenylephrine in it, that is the drug they are mainly concerned about, because it can act as a stimulant to your heart, which the thyroid replacement does also. You would be better off calling the doctors office and asking which medications you can take safely, or even call a pharmacy and ask the pharmacist. No, I don't think you'll die, but your mom is right to be concerned, and she's not making it up. In fact, she was a lot more careful than a lot of adults by checking to see if it would be OK. Medications aren't necessarily safe, even when they're sold over the counter--people die all the time from OTC drug interactions they didn't realize they could have. In any case, if you feel like you have a really fast heartbeat or pressure in your chest, you'd probably want to call or go to the doctor. Otherwise, I think you'll be fine, but there are plenty of medications that would work as well or better and not be taking any chances, so call and ask what your doctor suggests instead.
Hope you feel better soon!

Even when the pharmaceutical companies get federal dollars to research and the development of new drugs they still charge outrageous amount of money. A vial of insulin that has been on the market for well over 20+ years has gone from $21 a vial to $250 a vial with no changes in the formulation. Drugs that cost several hundred dollars a month in other countries cost hundreds of thousands of dollars here. Why? The costs are skyrocketing and if you own stock in these companies you are getting rich. The federal government passed a law that prevents Medicare from negotiating drug costs. Why? But the VA is permitted to negotiate and each prescription has a small ($8) co-pay.
