"Crazy" = die^n , khu`ng , ma't , ba tron , tung tung , ha^m. . . oops , lots of words . The popular are "dien" and "khung". . . How do i relearn Vietnamese?

Immerse yourself in it! Ever wonder how when some people live in a foreign country for a couple months, they come out fluent in the language? It's because the human brain recognizes the need to communicate is vital to survival and you will automatically pick up gramme, vocabulary and develop your accent. Same thing applies here. Since i doubt you can spend a couple months in Vietnam you can use these alternatives instead.

- Listen to it. SInce your parents are Vietnamese, Im sure they would have some videos you could use and CDs you could listen to. also there are many Vietnamese resources avaiable on the web!
- Practice it. This will help you retain the language easier, and make conversation easier.
- Read it. Im not sure if you can read it. But if you can that is a pluse. With reading you can pick up vocab and grammer.

These are the key aspects in learning any language. It will be hard at first, but will be alot easier as you progress. Good Luck!

I also recommend this series of language software program called 'The Rosetta Stone'. It does have Vietnamese. It's an exceptional program that integrates everything above.

Why do vietnamese brag all the time?

my friends are twins and they think they are the best at every thing when they arent. they say the can beat me in brawl i play them they suk and i win every time. they say they are smarter than me i have better grades then them and i know more things out side of school. yet the still brag they are better than me. why.

then they are immature and cus all the time thinking they are cool when every one does not know them or they think they are nerds.

What do you think about Vietnam and Vietnamese?

Miss, I am terribly sorry about what the USA did to your country. I was there. What we did was inexcusable. Saying I was ordered to do it is pretty lame. Your country, what I saw of it, was beautiful. The people I met and meet now are resourceful and have been pretty smart. I know the US trades with you now. Take care of your people. Be careful in dealing with the Western world. Do not let the multinationals strip your resources away.

Do you speak Vietnamese? Can you share a sample of your Vietnamese handwriting?

Haha, of course I do speak Vietnamese because I am 100% Vietnamese.You know what? Despite Vietnamese language has been taken to the ‘next” level by some youngsters, I am still loyal with the old yet standardized way to write and speak.I hate using short forms. I hate seeing a text written without a tone. It hurts my eyes so much to make a guesswork. Because Vietnamese is tricky so it is better to make things clear. If you miss a tone, I might misconstrue your ideas or completely distort what you actually mean.When I speak, I use full sentences. No subjects missing, no objects missing. It might be considered a bit formal, but I would rather speak decent Vietnamese than employing some sort of curt and choppy words to deliver my message.It’s a habit, and I think it’s a good one.As I said before, it’s been quite sometime since I needed a pen to jot down something, but here I try to show you my Vietnamese handwriting sample.It’s a poem about my country: Vietnam.

What do you know of the North Vietnamese re-education camps?

Is it easy for a Vietnamese to learn to Mandarin?

Vietnamese grammar is quite similar to Chinese, and quite simple as well. The difficulty will probably be tones, but Mandarin has 4, so Vietnamese just has 2 more. It shouldn't be too difficult.Vietnamese also has over 70% loanwords from Chinese, some so ancient that you probably won't recognize. Their loanwords mirror Cantonese more, since Cantonese is closer to Middle Chinese. They even have Wasei Kango loanwords just like Korean and Chinese. But as a Mandarin speaker, it shouldn't be too hard to recognize them.Old Vietnamese are Chinese loanwords borrowed during early Middle Chinese.Hán Tự (Chinese character) - Old Sino-Vietnamese - Sino-Vietnamese鮮 - Tươi - Tiên針 - Kim/Ghim - Châm父 - Bố - Phụ初 - Xưa - Sơ巧 - Khéo - Xảo煩 - Buồn - Phiền價 - Cả - Giá茶 - Chè - Trà味 - Mùi - Vị箸 - Đũa - TrợMany loanwords were also corrupted, or Vietnamized into another reading.Hán Tự (Chinese character) - Vietnamized Sino-Vietnamese - Sino-Vietnamese鏡 - Gương - Kính回 - Về - Hồi完 - Vẹn - Hoàn橋 - Cầu - Kiều婦 - Vợ - Phụ床 - Giường - Sàng力 - Sức - Lực殿 - Đền - Điện劫 - Cướp - Kiếp種 - Giống - Chủng稅 - Thuê - ThuếAs stated, some of the Chinese loanwords of modern terms actually originated from Japanese. When Japan westernized, they recorded western terms like “economy” or “club” into Kanji, then when they invaded China, those terms were spread into Chinese. Then, since Vietnamese didn’t have these terms, they borrowed from Chinese at that time and turned them into Sino-Vietnamese.Hán Tự (Chinese character) - Sino-Vietnamese博士 - Bác Sĩ科學 - Khoa Học教育 - Giáo Dục政治 - Chính Trị歷史 - Lịch Sử和平 - Hoà Bình葡萄牙 - Bồ Đào Nha俱樂部 - Câu Lạc Bộ病院 - Bệnh Viện白馬 - Bạch Mã外例 - Ngoại Lệ經月 - Kinh Nguyệt客棧 - Khách Sạn文房 - Văn Phòng世界 - Thế Giới表情 - Biểu Tình進士 - Tiến Sĩ生員 - Sinh Viên可能 - Khả Năng版圖 - Bản Đồ方便 - Phương Tiện災難 - Tai Nạn時節 - Thời Tiết寶藏 - Bảo Tàng書院 - Thư Viện歷事 - Lịch Sự口裝 - Khẩu Trang醫佐 - Y Tá關重 - Quan Trọng倖面 - Hãnh Diện發聲 - Phát Thanh傳形 - Truyền Hình藝士 - Nghệ Sĩ難人 - Nạn Nhân寨監 - Trại Giam暫別 - Tạm Biệt審美院 - Thẩm Mĩ Viện翻音 - Phiên Âm關係情欲 - Quan Hệ Tình Dục濫用 - Lạm Dụng交通 - Giao Thông利是 - Lì Xì傳幀 - Truyện Tranh畫士 - Hoạ SĩAnd many more…
