You Think Blink 182 Will Ever Come To South Africa

Why are African Americans so touchy?

When I was in college I used to have many black friends from Algeria, the Caribbean, and mostly from South America; But I never had any African-American friends, they were so hard to get along with. They would get mad at anything, if I would change the radio station 'coz a hip-hop song would come on, they would get pissed I had something against Blacks. If I shook their hand they got pissed 'coz I didn't shake hands "the right way", they would get mad if I didn't use their slang, they would get mad that I liked baseball, and didn't play basketball. Even my Algerian and South American friends would say African-American were weird.

The biggest difference is that Algerian and South American Black people would make fun make fun at African Americans for getting mad for being called Black, that's what we are, they would say.

Why are African Americans so touchy?

Why does Tom Delonge from Blink 182 not as perfectly anymore whereas Chester Bennington from Linkin Park does?

Hi, I'm a devoted fan of both Linkin Park and Blink 182. I grew up listening to their music pretty much religiously, so I've witnessed the progression of both bands. Tom and Chester's vocal styles are very different, so you have to take that into account. Also, it may be easily assessed that Chester's simply has a better vocal range, and utilizes breathing techniques to maintain that range even when performing on stage.

Up until recently, Tom has (admittedly) used alcohol before going on stage. He says it in numerous interviews that he is a wine enthusiast. Alcohol can definitely effect the vocal chords and breathing patterns. Another contributing factor may be Tom's physical make-up and previous medical conditions. Unless you've been under a rock, most hardcore Blink fans know that Tom had cancer awhile back. His former medical conditions (and on-going conditions - just a couple of months ago he was at risk for pneumonia), are probably related to how healthy his body is now.

You also have to look at the fact that Tom never really had the average "clean" melodic voice. Chester switches between "unclean" (screaming) and "clean" vocals, so it's pretty clear that his vocal range is advanced. Tom on the other hand has a unique style, and that is primarily what his vocals are "known for" -- being unique. Unique does not always mean perfect. It means different than the norm. Tom's voice was actually never "perfect" if you compare it to some of the great's like Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, or Chris Martin of Coldplay. But his voice is inspiring, and fused with his melodic - punk lyrics, I think it's safe to say that Tom's voice might have launched a thousand aspiring bands. Not to say Linkin Park has not done the same, but Chester and Tom each have their own sound.

In my opinion, Tom's voice is intended to sound: raw, old-school, edgy, dramatic, and aggressive. Chester's voice (when he's not screaming) is more indie, modern, and dreamlike. Neither of them are perfect musicians :D They are both just really dedicated to their dreams.

Who is better, MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli (overall)?

Wow - what a question?!Purely as a batsman, Kohli definitely takes it. With a ODI batting avg of nearly 60 (which is massive even as batting averages have been increasing in recent times), he is still well ahead of Dhoni who finished his career with a ODI avg of just over 50.. and in Test Cricket, Kohli’s avg of 55 is way ahead of Dhoni’s 38.MS Dhoni was undoubtedly one of the greatest finishers in limited-overs cricket but when it comes to chasing down a big ODI target under pressure, Kohli is equally good - so on this point I think it’s a tie.Batting aside.. few people would argue that Dhoni was one of the best wicket keepers if not the best in game at his peak (the man was lightning fast), which has to be taken into consideration and could potentially balance the scales back evenly between the two. When it comes to awards, it’s a tie again. Dhoni was selected back-to-back as the ICC ODI player of the year at his peak.. but then along came Kohli and matched him with 2 ICC ODI player awards of his own. Only AB de Villiers has been awarded this prestigious title more than them (currently sitting on 3 wins). As for Captaincy.. well, I think Kohli is a very good Captain but let’s face it.. love him or hate him.. when it came to Captaincy, what a captain Dhoni was! (I’ve lost track of all the records he’s broken as a Captain). All and all it’s a difficult pick - probably as difficult as they come.. but in conclusion:Personally I think that Kohli is the more talented of the twoBUTif my life depended on the outcome of a match, for some reason I feel like I would go for Dhoni over Kohli in my team.
