I think it was an alternative rock band although I'm not sure. I saw a video of them once on mtv so i guess that means their good. im not entirely sure of the era tho. - Black lead singer - Rest of band is white - 3 or 4 members - saw 1 video of them and it was in black and white - singer's voice had a distinct british accent. you could hear the accent clearly throughout the song (most people don't have such a prominent accent when they sing) - not sure about this but one of their songs lyrics contains the words "poison ivy" in the chorus. but its not the song by the drifters, definitely not.
