Your Car Does Not Like

What does your car do when it needs oil?

Well my car gives me a signal when it needs oil.
A light comes on.

Does my boyfriend love his car too much?

stopwar1... probably had the best answer. I built my first car, and when things got hard at school, or I just wanted to vent some steam, I went into the garage and worked on my car. Would you rather him vent your way?

Also, most guys naturally like cars. I know that I wash my car every weekend when I can, but it's not like I'm dating it, it's because I like for it to be clean. I spend a lot of time in my car, and your car is your first impression to a lot of people...on the road, in the parking lot and inthe driveway. If I go to a meeting, and I see a guy pull up in a brand new BMW...that's dirty...it makes an impression on me that this person has a different side to them. I mean, how can one go out and spend anywhere from $1,000 to $250,000 on a car, but then not wash it? It's an investment that you should protect.

I guess overall, don't take it personal. If you find that he has motor oil and grease on some private places...THEN, I'd be curious, but if all he does is wash it, and CARE FOR it, then I wouldn't worry so much.

I'm not into cars, does that make me weird?

Why would that make you weird. It makes you normal, We are not created the same. Some people hate planes, others dislike Boats and so on. Focus on what you like, forget what others think about your likes and dislikes as long as it does not affect anyone. Life is short and meant to be lived. Only way to live is to get rid of fear and or worries, otherwise you will create mountains from molehills.

My wife backed in to my car, what to do?

I would call your insurance company to be sure that there is coverage. There should be coverage for the damage as long as your have collision coverage on your car.... subject to your deductible, for EACH car (if you are going to have both cars repaired) BUT there should be coverage!!!! (You would have to pay your collision deductible to get your car fixed, and the collision deductible for her car would have to be paid to get her car fixed)

Its not like it was INTENTIONALLY self inflicted... if it was intentional that would be a different story!!! Accidents happen.. hence why you pay premium for those coverages!

Look at your policy or discuss this with your company. Each company and state have different laws and rules for insurance so it is best to check with your company before getting upset about that person saying that "self inflicted damages are not covered".

(I know someone who backed into another vehicle [twice to be exact], both of which she owned, in her driveway and both of those claims were covered) But it all depends on your company!!!

Why doesn't my car accelerate as fast as it used to?

theres only 2 answers,3 with mine that are of any use to you, theres 2 people on track, but might i suggest actually getting the injecters cleaned,as injecter cleaner dont work real well...Get some new spark plug leads and spark plugs, clean the throttle body with carby cleaner (to let more airflow through),a new air filter, fuel filter, distributer if need be or just get the points cleaned,ect....sounds to me it just needs a really good tune up and a good thrashin to loosen up and blow out any carben build up....It may even need a valve adjustment,if applicable. There are lots of things you can do to get the old motor back into shape it just depends on your finances....Do one thing at a time if need be

Why don't you want to have a car?

Why don’t you want to have a car?I live in Los Angeles, where it seems everyone and their mother has a car.I have never owned a car.It wasn’t originally my intention to neither drive nor own a vehicle. It’s just the way things have turned out for me.I never drove in high school, because I was usually dropped off at school by one of my parents. Later on, my friend would give me a ride there, and I’d either take the bus home or wait for one of my parents to pick me up. It was never a question of if I could drive to school; my parents would never have allowed it. (I was also not allowed to work until I graduated high school. I wish I’d been more entrepreneurial and, like, tried selling handmade toys, but at the time thinking outside the box did not come naturally).I attended the same college as my brother, who was given a car upon his high school graduation a couple of years prior. Whenever I asked him for a ride, though, he was never available. So I learned to navigate Santa Barbara’s public transit. When I lived in Italy, I got around with public transport (buses, trams, and trains) as well as on foot. I didn’t need a car. When I moved to LA, I was fortunate enough to find a place near public transit. I’ve been here ever since.Even now, I can get to work in Mar Vista using public transit. When I’m carrying a lot of stuff, or miss my alarm, I catch a Lyft.It works for me.I can see the benefits and convenience involved in car ownership, but I don’t envy the monthly car and insurance payments, vehicle maintenance, etc. Nor do I wish to sit around in freeway traffic.Eventually I will have to bite the bullet, so to speak, and get a car. Many mental health clinician positions out here require field work, which involves driving to clients’ homes or schools. But until that time comes, public transportation suits my needs just fine.

If your car is stuck in the mud and you don’t have a winch to pull it out, you can use a piece of rope and a tree to do the trick.?

If your car is stuck in the mud and you don’t have a winch to pull it out, you can use a piece of rope and a tree to do the trick. First, you tie one end of the rope to your car and the other to a tree, then pull as hard as you can on the middle of the rope, as shown in the figure. This technique applies a force to the car much larger than the force that you can apply directly. To see why the car experiences such a large force, look at the forces acting on the center point of the rope, as shown in the figure. The sum of the forces is zero, thus the tension is much greater than the force you apply. It is this tension force that acts on the car and, with luck, pulls it free.

A. The sum of the three forces acting on the center point of the rope is assumed to be zero because
The sum of the three forces acting on the center point of the rope is assumed to be zero because

This point has a very small mass.

Tension forces in a rope always cancel.

This point is not accelerating.

The angle of deflection is very small.

B. When you are pulling on the rope as shown, what is the approximate direction of the tension force on the tree?
North west east or south

C. Assume that you are pulling on the rope but the car is not moving. What is the approximate direction of the force of the mud on the car?
