What are your favorite Las Vegas strip restaurants and why?

I’m answering this question from a tourist point of view. I’m sure there are Vegas locals who can tell you about awesome restaurants outside the strip….and much cheaper!Rose, Rabbit, Lie at the Cosmopolitan. The restaurant has an Alice in Wonderland feel to it. Unique menu, unique drinks and a live jazz entertainment. The pics below is me watching a jazz dancer on top of a piano. The 2nd photo is a drink I ordered called Through The Looking Glass. If you look closely at the drink, there’s a fruit in the drink in the shape of a key.The Wynn Buffet. Large selection with high quality preparation. I don’t like to overeat but the dessert choices take me over the edge.Holsteins at the Cosmopolitan. My favorite burger joint. Their nom nom burger is my all time favorite. If you order dessert, get their meringue which is dipped in liquid nitrogen. There are you tube videos of it. It’s quite fun!Yardbird at the Venetian. It’s the closest southern comfort food I can get while in the west coast.Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris. I fell in love with his signature dish, the beef wellington. Caution - it’s cooked medium rare but he has plenty of other steak choices. He also has a Hell’s Kitchen multi course tasting menu but you need to show up hungry. It’s a lot of food!

What is your most favorite restaurant?

I love Cracker Barrel, the hash brown casserole is so YUM! Fast food, I'd have to go with Checkers, I think they only have Checkers in FL, anyhoo they got the best fries EVER!

What is your favorite pool in Las Vegas?

What are the best restaurants in Las Vegas?

I go on a yearly basis, so far my favorite is Tao in the Venetian definitely make a reservation, it is really hard to get in otherwise, the Eiffel tower in Paris is good I enjoyed their wine paring, the Delmonico in Venetian is great for steak, Mix in the Mandalay Bay is great and has one of the best views of Las Vegas, I Love PF Changs in the Planet Hollywood formerly the Aladdin, Spagos is great for lunch in the Cesar's, I had breakfast at Kahuna-ville in Treasure Island and it was reasonably priced and good. There are great restaurants in the Wynn and the list could go on. I would suggest that you definitely make a reservation at Tao and the rest just decide day of. Enjoy your trip

What is your favorite place to stay in Las Vegas and why?

Central Strip Cosmopolitan (teeny balcony)and Planet Hollywood with a view of Bellagio.Treasure Island always a good value ( usually comped)Red Rock off the strip is great too

What is the best Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas?

I’m not a fan of eating raw fish, because whenever I ate sushi, I could never stand the fishy taste. I later found out that the key to good sushi is a restaurant that has good a turnover of fish.My phobia of eating raw fish all changed when I visited Soho on Jones and Warm Springs. This restaurant is located in a non-descript strip mall next to a gas station. However, don’t let appearances fool you. In a foodie town like Vegas, this place is usually packed and it’s hard to get in for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. Reservations are essential. The owner of Soho, Chef John, was also the former Executive Chef of Social House at CityCenter.SOHO LAS VEGAS SOHO JAPANESE SOHO SUSHI BURRITO SOHO SUSHI BOWLRRITOThe last time I ate there was 2 weeks ago. I ate yellow tail, salmon and tuna, amongst other things. The fish is so fresh here, I couldn’t taste any of that fishy flavor I despise. I loved it. Our party of 5 just gorged the entire time.Vegas Local on Instagram: “So Fresh and delicious. Can’t stop eating!  Salmon, tuna and yellowtail from @soholasvegas”Vegas Local on Instagram: “More fishy goodness from @soholasvegas. Tempura Shrimp, Sushi rolls, Tempura Veggies. The 2nd image was something the Head Chef created on…”Vegas Local on Instagram: “Sushi dinner at @soholasvegas”
