Youtube Channels For A 26 Year Old Guy

How old should I be to start a YouTube channel?

The minimum age for YouTube is 13, not saying anyone listens to that rule.If you are reviewing kid’s stuff or playing games like Minecraft, Club Penguin, or Webkinz, or whatever the kids play nowadays, I’d say at least 8. then you have basic ability to use a camera, talk, edit or have someone edit, and hopefully you don’t get upset when someone says something mean.If you are making DIYs, Beauty/Clothes/Makeup videos, or any other tutorial, depending on what it is I’ll say 16 years old. If you are doing something like fixing cars or using tools to make something, use safety precautions and a “don’t try this at home” warning. If you want to make information or theory videos, I’d say at least 15 depending on the subject. If you want to make a series or collab channel of any kind, then I’d say the owner of the channel (who used the email to create the channel) should be at least 17. The cast of people in the videos can be whoever. If you are making a daily vlog series of any kind, you should be at least 20 years old.

Can a 15 year old make money off YouTube?

Yes you can.You need to be at least 13 to own a YouTube channel, and 18 to start monetizing videos in most cases. However, you can still get a parent/guardian to sign up with (typically you need to sign contracts and they state if you're under 18 you should get your parent/guardian to sign with you or for you.Earning money on YouTube has never been easier. Anyone can do it now at any channel size. I won't sit here and lie to you saying that you'll start making good money right away because that's not normally the case. If you go into YouTube with realistic expectations, you will excel.I'd like to point out that if you're interested in making YouTube a career, you're at the perfect age to really start cracking down on it. You probably have at least 2–3 years before you’re finished with school, that's a good amount of time to try and make something happen with YouTube. If all goes well, you'll be way ahead of the game when you graduate, you can either skip college altogether if that's what you'd want to do, or you can use the money you generate from YouTube to pay your way through college as much as you can which would reduce your student loan debt by a lot or eliminate it altogether.Do not let people discourage from starting YouTube or wanting to make it into something profitable. It really could change your life a lot more than you can imagine.

How do I tell my parents that I am starting a video channel on YouTube?

Im thinking of starting a lifestyle (fashion, makeup, tips and advice, music) channel on YouTube, but Im not sure my parents will go along with the idea...........I am started 9th grade and I wear makeup and I am pretty good at giving advice. I even have my own camera that I bought with my own money...its a Canon EOS Rebel SL1 18MP DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens Kit.

The things is that I know that my mom will say yes, but Im not sure my dad will say yes. My dad is the kinda dad that doesnt like all the stuff like 3-pound MacBook Airs......lets just say that he is a bit behind in the technology (he doesnt know how to work our printer or things on the internet, he types like 6 words a minute..) He is also the really over-protective parent...for example:
It took me and my mom 2 months to convince him to let me wear makeup.
Another example:
I had a piano recital when I was 11 and my mom posted the video of me performing and my dad told her to take it down and he said, "Anyone can see her perform and they might comment bad things and I dont want anyone else to see her perform"

Anyways, I have a few questions:
How do I ask my parents? (Do i just say, "Im starting a video channel!")
If my dad says no, how do I convince him?
If my dad says no, do i secretly start a video channel without telling him? (tips for keeping it a secret)

Thanks so much!!!
