Youtube Vlogs In College

I want to be a youtube vlogger, but I'm too self conscious.?

I've always admired vloggers on youtube and I want to be one but I'm too self conscious. I think I'm not pretty enough, or my hair is not right, or something is just wrong. I have piles of videos in my phone right now just sitting there, but I'm just scared to put it up on youtube because I'm afraid of the criticism I might get because of how I look at that moment. I'm in college, so sometimes I think that other students will recognize me and start laughing at me or something. I'm just scared. How do I overcome this fear.

Ok, in case I eventually overcome this fear, what do I vlog about. The videos in my phone are just rants about things that go on in my life. Is that ok? I'm not that creative, so I don't know. Also, do the views just come naturally, or you have to do something special. I don't know. I see people with thousands of view, but I don't know how they get them. Also, do you like hearing people rant about their everyday life, because that's the only thing I can come up with.

Your help is much needed and will be appreciated.

No, you shouldn't. Do you think you'll be making YouTube videos for the next 50 to 60 years or so? Do you think a YouTube career will fulfill you for the rest of your life? Maybe you'll enjoy it for 5 years or so, but what if you stop enjoying it? What if your YouTube fame wanes off? What if your viewers move on to the next upcoming YouTube celebrity? You should go to school to give yourself a good foundation for your future life. When you've finished your school, you'll have lots of opportunities to pursue. And sure, you might even become a fulltime YouTuber. But if you think it's a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket and have your entire professional future depend on an online video platform... no, it really isn't.There are a lot of successful YouTubers who are working on their channels in their free time. If you're smart about how you use your time, that's pretty doable. But don't rush things. Do it as a hobby first, just to see how people respond to your videos and to see how you like growing your channel (which takes a lot of time, actually). But please don't give up your education, or there will be a really, really high risk of ending up with nothing at all.

Couples on youtube?

I don't really think they give a lot of advice on their channel but I really enjoy watching them. Their names are kalel Cullen and Anthony padilla and their channel is called WatchUsLiveAndStuff (all vlogs) and they're currently engaged. Kalel is currently doing some school right now and she has another channel (Frilly + Fancy) where she does some stuff. You might find something on their channel.

1.) PUBLIC! True of any entrepreneurial endeavor.. always public. No one will put in the work to steal your idea. Vlogs (& entrepreneurship) require no shame, so this will warm you up to that. Let people see. Most importantly - how can you iterate and get better without feedback? The greatest vlogs started as sucky videos (even if it doesn’t seem like it). You got this.2) I would highly recommend TubeBuddy and maybe VidIQ (both free) to help you with tagging/seo. I’ve been making vlogs for months now and wish I knew this before recently. It will help people actually see your content in YouTube/google search. (Not a pro though, still working on that, myself)3) Gear - You can absolutely start with your phone. If you have an iphone, they’re actually quite good with video. I will tell you this though - best for inside vlogging. I don’t know what your vlog will be about, but if it requires going outside, you might want to consider upgrading at some point later. It’s best to start with cheap gear to get you going to make sure you like vlogging and will continue! If you do like it after a trial and want to continue - here are the things I currently have with my thoughts:Canon g7x - LOVE this camera (because it’s portable & if you’re shooting it yourself, you can flip the screen up to see the shot while shooting). HORRIBLE with audio, though if you film outside or far away. If you do either of those often, maybe consider another camera because there is no external port for a RODE mic, etc. I use my voice memo app on iPhone as a secondary audio to sync to the film later for better audio.Neewer ring light - definitely not needed at all. You can go near good lighting or a window. I’m just a nerd and wanted to spend my money on this. The brightness gives a professional look to videos.Joby Gorillapod - this is pretty handy to shoot yourself, wrap around things, have a little stand.Hope this helps! Best of luck & looking forward to your vlog! If you like startup companies /tech stuff, you can check mine out here!

How are YouTubers so rich?

its literally a deal they make from youtube. youtubes success depends on the quality of videos it has. when people post good videos it technically boosts the amount of attention youtube gets, so youtube gave its members an opportunity to make cash off it. they are paid only based on how many views/comments/likes/subscribers they have etc. basically they are paid by popularity- which encourages them to be good at what they do. youtube benefits- and the partner benefits.

just because someone makes a living off of youtube doesnt mean they dont have skill. all partners are basically artists and performers- because they compile and create the videos themselves or help do it with a team. i do not see a person who vlogs about, say, politics any differently than i would see someone who wrote an article in the newspaper about it if it is professionally done.

youtube partners generally seem to not go to college. if you are successful enough, who cares about college? people dont spend thousands of dollars to get a degree just because its a social must (and if they do then something is seriously twisted about that) - they do it to work towards a goal. id say a lot of very popular youtubers have already reached their goal. they get paid up to 6 figures just to entertain their viewers- which they love doing. what they do is not a job. its a lifestyle and a profession, and i see nothing wrong with that. thats the life!

Here’s a list of primarily light-hearted ‘artsy’ you tubers who just tend to be nice to watch:Lucy Moon is a British creator who has a lot of aesthetically pleasing, chatty videos. She’s recently graduated from university and is definitely more lifestyle oriented.Orion Carloto’s channel is, in her own words, a ‘visual diary’. It features artsy vlogs and favourites videos every so often.NegativeFeedback are great if you’re at all interested in photography. They try out cameras and do photography challenge in a very casual, vlog-like style. If you’re an art student you may find them interesting.Jordan Clark is an art channel but she’s not actually an art student so her style’s a little more fun and illustration-like. Her videos are just really pretty.Shmoxd’s style is pretty different but he’s also an art student who makes creative, chatty content.I’ve not watched much of withwendy but she seems sweet and in a similar vein to Conan.cup of jasmien’s video style is absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. And of course CatCreature who has already been mentioned.

You don't have have to buy anything right away. You already have it! It's iMovie! I would think you've tried it by now, if you haven't take it out for a spin and get a feel for it. It's a fine tool to learn on and start with and get your feet wet as they say. Then when you want to spend some money on a fine product go for Final Cut Pro X. Transitioning from one to other is quite intuitive, you gain color correction and some other upscale features that I suggest you go to your favorite Apple Store and play around with the interface. Switch between the two programs to make sure you will appreciate the $300 difference. That buys a nice Rode mic and extra memory cards. We all could use some more memory! FCPX is optimized for your computer just make sure you backup your vids. Terry

How do you add an image over your youtube description box?

I think you need to be a director account or an affiliate to be able to do that.
