Helicopter circling my neighbourhood?
Foe the past 10-20 mins theres been a helicopter circling around where I live when I look out the window I can't see it but can hear it and its starting to get very annoying at this time of night why would a helicopter be doing it at this time of night? Theres alot of crime around the area I live in but is there anybody I can call to enquire why its circling around at this time its 3:05am Its keeping me up and cant sleep

It’s hard to exactly to guess, they respond to a lot of high level suspicious activity. If you live in a high crime area it’s likely because they are tracking a criminal fleeing or committing a crime and giving a exact location to the ground units so they can safely approach them. Another possibility could be a search and rescue situation. They can search for missing persons for up to several days. Another possible situation could be if you lived near an airport or where they base the aircraft. Government helicopter units train a lot. They could be doing long-lining practice as well as pilot training or crew training. If you are getting annoyed with the noise just remember they are flying to save peoples lives.

Why do helicopters keep flying over here?
There are no military installations near Tustin (that I could find with a quick search) I have a similar situation that has nothing to do with bombs or terrorism. In my case, I am in a direct line between two hospitals, and medical transport helicopters fly over my house three of four times per day. Depending on the weather, they can be quite low.

Yup, it's the police. They're either searching or providing information or light if at night, to the police on the ground. The reason they circle is so they won't get shot. If they hovered in one place, they would be an easy target since they're flying so low. News helicopters usually hover in one spot and very high.

May be police or news copters. They could be in pursuit of a suspect and are using the copters for support, night vision/infrared, and spotting.

Something might be wrong with the tail propeller. Is it spinning? If not, was it spinning when you first got the helicopter? If not then check the warranty book that should have came with it to see if that if cover by it, which it should be. Call customer support and tell them about your issue. You should be able to get a new one at no extra charge. If you got it from a store, you might have to take it back there to get a new one. Just make sure you have the recipe . I hope this helped you.

To be on the safe side, I would call the non-emergency number, and ask if there is a problem in the area. If the Police were tracking someone, you should also see a lot of squad cars.
