How to get over back walkover fears?

I'm in gymnastics I used to have the same fear only I was scared to do it on the beam lol. I would try laying down on your bed and dangling your arms off the bed get to where your hands are touhing the ground and pull you legs over then try doing a bridge up where your feet are next to your bed then putting your feet on top of the bed and kicking over. If it helps do a handstand first, this will help you get over your fear of falling on your head . If you know that you can do a handstand and not let your arms bend and give in then you will be confident about it in a bridge up. When you kick, make sure to lean over your shoulders. do a bridge up and move your feet closer to your head then try to push you legs straight and that's what I mean by leaning over. It helps get your hips to go over easier. That was kinda a long explanation but work your way up to it and it will be easy once to try to do the regular back walkover. Hope this helps!!

Can you learn gymnastics in your 30s?

Yes, absolutely! Many gyms offer adult classes. Check out the gymnastics gyms in your area to see if they do. Now, granted, if you start learning gymnastics in your 30s, most likely you will not be able to get to world/Olympic level, (granted most gymnasts retire before or in their 30s) but it is definitely possible to learn and is also a great way to work on fitness and coordination. Not to mention it would be a lot of fun! If you are interested I encourage you to check out some adult gymnastics classes. By the way, this is 86-year old Johanna Quaas. If she can do it, you can too!

Must I need alot of courage to learn gymnastics?

I'm currently learning gymnastics. But everytime when my coach asked me to do some tumblings, I refused to oblige. It is not that I don't want, I'm afraid that I'll fall. Hence, time in gymnastics became one of my phobia. I really admired my friends who were so courageous to learn and experience new things in their life but pity I'm not one of them. The artistic gym(floor) competition is soon arriving (July) and I'm determined to take part in it. I really need some advice now...on how i can speed up my progress and dare to take the first step into the world of tumbling. Everything has to be done by June to prove to my coach to get in the competition.

How to do a backbend kickover when you're scared you'll fall?

I have a list of tricks I need to complete to do a solo performance by thanksgiving (its mid September). Backbend kickovers and backbend kickover off the wall are two of them. Lets just say I HATE doing backbends. Im scared to kickover cause im scared to fall down and break my nose or my neck or something.I can do a backbend but im having trouble kicking over.. help I want to do this as quick as possible. Also, how to go down into a backbend from standing. I have to sit on the floor and push up into a backbend from there. Please help!! Im getting frustrated.

A wall has two layers of materials A and B each made of a different material. both have the same thickness. The "k" of material A is twice that of B. Under the equilibrium, the (dt) across the wall is 36°C. What will the (dt) across the layer A?

It is given that dt [math](T_1 - T_2)[/math] across the wall is [math]36^oC[/math]. We want to find dt [math](T_1 - T_0)[/math] across A.Heat current H in the two parts is given by[math]H = 2kA\frac{T_1 - T_0}{x} = kA\frac{T_0 - T_2}{x}[/math]. This gives[math]2T_1 -2T_0 = T_0 -T_2\Rightarrow\, 3T_0 = 2T_1 +T_2[/math]Now the trick. We can write the above equation as[math]3T_0 = 3T_1 +T_2 - T_1\, \Rightarrow \, 3T_1 - 3T_0 = T_1 - T_2\, [/math][math]\Rightarrow 3(T_1 - T_0) =36 \Rightarrow T_1 - T_0 = 12^oC[/math]
