Want to Alternative Model but cons?
I do alternative modeling as a hobby but I would like to pursue it maybe find paying gigs and get my face out there but I want to do it without being nude- I don't mind implied or sexy shoots but I want to be able to model alternatively and not make a name off of sex- so that my parents will see it as modeling and not selling my body and also so it won't affect future opportunities. What are some reputable alternative modeling agencies that do things besides nudes and porn?

I've already applied for SuicideGirls and GodsGirls, and I was wondering if there were any other sites that I could possibly send my portfolio to? You cannot get into modeling with low self confidence. Modeling does not improve your confidence at all - it destroys your confidence. Why do you think so many models develop drug and alcohol problems, depression and eating disorders - because the industry steals any confidence they have Unless you are 2000% confident before you get into the business you are not going to survive more than a week or two. You have to be confident to deal with the fact that you will go to an average of 100 casting calls for every 1 job you are booked on. Very few people can deal with being rejected 20 times for a job, let alone 99 times. You have to be extremely confident to deal with the fact that at every casting call there will be girls who are taller, thinner and prettier than you are,. You have to be very confident to deal with the fact that at any casting or agency meeting your flaws are going to be pointed out. You will be measured with a measuring tape every time you walk into your agency and if you've gained even 1/2" on your stomach or hips they can drop you. You will be told at casting calls that you are too old/young/plain/exotic/flat/curvy/skinny... for the job If you have low self confidence do not even think of getting into the business as it will eat you up and spity ou out. I've seen it happen hundreds of times

I live in Las Vegas too, Sweetie, and trust me Las Vegas is not the place to model because most likely you wont go that far here, and they usually want nudity. Don't start out cheap or ever go cheap or tacky like Las Vegas models. Go to LA or Newyork. Go all out if it's something you want.
Are there any alternative modeling agencies near Louisville KY?
I live in Indiana, close to Louisville Kentucky,& I have been interested in modeling for a long time. I am looking for an alternative modeling agency in either Kentucky or Indiana as long as it is in the area that I have mentioned. I am only looking for alternative because I have facial piercings & such & I am not willing to take them out. If anyone could tell me if there are some in the area, I would be very appreciative :]
Does anyone know of a alternative to use for modeling dope ? trying to finish covering a balsa wood model?
Model dope is usually just gloss enamel, so any enamel would substitute. If the model is all balsa, you could even use latex paint and then give it a coat of polyurethane or other varnish to make it shiny. If you are making one of those airplane kits that have tissue paper over the wings, you shouldn't use any water base paint, as it would dissolve the tissue paper. By the way, nail polish is gloss enamel and comes in lots of colors, so maybe you could "borrow" some from a friend or relative??
