like intense movies about child abuse...and i already saw sybil, american crime..... look at the movie or look it up on youtube aurore and thats pretty intense...i dont want a movie where a child just recovers from it i want it actully showing what a kid goes through until she/he r saved !! brb im doing this for a presentation about abuse

Okay...so the reason "Precious" is mentioned so much, is because it's a true story. An earlier answerer did a well job describing the story. I recommend watching it, it's very sad but has a good life lesson involved. I'll be honest though, even the toughest ones cry for this film. "Matilda" is a good classic movie. You probably have seen it, but it's about a little girl who is neglected by her family. It's more of a fiction film, but it has a GREAT ending. "The Boy's Life," is obviously following the story line of a young boy. It's very emotional and shows the negative effects of being abused. But here's one movie that you NEED to see! I'll be honest this one's a little harsh, and has some nasty language in it, but it's a really good move. "The Girl Next Door," is what it's called. All child abuse movies are sad in my eyes though. "The Color Purple," is a child abuse movie based on times back then, when slavery was a problem. Women usually love this one, Oprah's in it. "The Secret Life of Bees" was also mentioned, it's another I would put on the top of my favorites list. "The Dungeon," is also a very good one. It has a lot of intense moments, and it's about the abuse cycle and neglect of three siblings. They're locked in the "dungeon," for a very long time. Watch it! I'm sure you can Google some of these I named, and even find more. There's TONS of movies about child abuse, and I'm sure you can find the ones that you would most likely be found watching. I really hoped I helped...got to admitt interesting question! :)

Oh, It has got to be Sybil, could not be any worse. After I saw that movie I could not believe the pain and suffering that poor child went through by a schizo mom. True story. She had like 32 different personalities because of the torture she endured. She is still alive today. Horrible story! Also, Flowers in the Attic

I have been really interested in sad movies lately. ones that are graphic and makes you want to cry. I'm wanting to know if anyone knows any really touching child abuse movies. preferably true stories but any is fine. My favorites so far are "aurora" and "an american crime" both very sad,graphic and touching. Anyone know any similar movies?

I've gotta do this thing called contracts in order to graduate, we've gotta pick a subject and do a bunch of stuff on it... Anyway one thing we have to do is watch 3 movies and read one book on our subject, my subject is child abuse... I know about the book a child called it and the lost boy but i would like some other options, and i've got very few movie ideals... Please if you could help me out, I'd really like to graduate!!! Oh!
