The eBay seller says she will ship within one business day of receiving payment. I paid this morning but she did not ship it yet. what should I do?
One business day and you paid in the morning? You do nothing. You haven’t given the person enough time to ship it! If you pay in the morning, they have until the next business day to ship it. I ship every business day. In my case, often if you pay after 8am, I may not ship it until the next business day. Businesses have to cut off orders at some point otherwise they can never get the batch out to the shipping companies. Sometimes they may not make their service level commitment - I cannot always make it. I usually write an email to the customer explaining why. You can always drop her an email if you are concerned. But so far, you are being a bit unreasonable.
Ebay scam shipping to africa?
100% scam. There is no buyer. There is only a scammer trying to steal your hard-earned money. The next email will be from another of the scammer's fake names and free email addresses pretending to be "paypal" saying "kindly send the tracking number and we will release the funds". The are several red flags in that email: 1) buying as gift 2) out of town/country 3) urgency, use of ASAP 4) demand you use only one shipping company 5) overpaying 6) apologizing for late reply 7) stating he has paid "sufficient funds" 8) insists you send it "trackable" Now that you have responded to a scammer, you are on his 'potential sucker' list, he will try again to separate you from your cash. He will send you more emails from his other free email addresses using another of his fake names with all kinds of stories of great jobs, lottery winnings, millions in the bank and desperate, lonely, sexy singles. He will sell you email address to all his scamming buddies who will also send you dozens of fake emails all with the exact same goal, you sending them your cash via Western Union or moneygram. You could post up the email address and the emails themselves that the scammer is using, it will help make your post more googlable for other suspicious potential victims to find when looking for information. Do you know how to check the header of a received email? If not, you could google for information. Being able to read the header to determine the geographic location an email originated from will help you weed out the most obvious scams and scammers. Then delete and block that scammer. Don't bother to tell him that you know he is a scammer, it isn't worth your effort. He has one job in life, convincing victims to send him their hard-earned cash. As you know, whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer.
How have users of both Taobao and Ebay experienced buying & selling on the 2 sites?
I had shopping experience in both of them and here it is.Pros:TaoBao has pretty low shipping priceEbay has good international shipping coverageGoods ordered from Ebay are usually arriving in timeProducts of better quality could be found on Ebay, as well as rare and unique stuffCommon goods are very(veryvery)cheap on TaobaoCons:For some products shipping price is enormous on Ebay. I mean, that pretty thing that I certainly need cost $30 and shipping is $50 FTFYWithout proper forwarder you can’t ship from TaoBao due to lack of shops who allow international paymentsCheap TaoBao stuff sometimes comes without tracking number.It could take 2 months for product ordered from TaoBao to reach its destination pointTl;dr: shopping on Ebay is faster and more expensive with more exclusive goods there. Shopping on TaoBao is cheap and goods may take some time to arrive. Quality is not the bright side of this marketplace as well.
Threatening Paypal Email Spam. Please read all. This is SERIOUS!?
I have a listing of a PSP Ratchet and Clank bundle on eBay.com. This guy emailed me saying he would like to buy it for $400.00 right now but not through eBay.com he would just send me the money straight through via paypal because he has had problems with eBay before. So i called eBay customer service and asked them if this is a scam or anything. They said it does sound kind of fishy, then they told me to check "my eBay" to see if i have any messages there. I said no i don't but i did put just my email in the description if they had any questions. He said that might be why. So to make a LONG story shorter he told me he would go through eBay and purchase the PSP bundle. Within 2 seconds i received 2 emails from an email address @paypal.com that he has requested a transaction and that i have to give him the "tracking number" or shipping information. I never agreed to anything or accepted any transactions. He told me if i didn't email him in the morning that he would take legal actions...? I don't know if i did anything or what but please help me because to be honest it's kinda scaring me... Is this real or a scammer? No matter what i am contacting paypal customer service tomorrow morning.
