Another easy finite math question if you're good at math. Need help ASAP! Thank you :)?

The Sandersons are planning to refinance their home. The outstanding principal on their original loan is $130,000 and was to amortized in 240 equal monthly installments at an interest rate of 12%/year compounded monthly. The new loan they expect to secure is to be amortized over the same period at an interest rate of 7%/year compounded monthly.

How much less can they expect to pay over the life of the loan in interest payments by refinancing the loan at this time? (Round your answer to the nearest cent.)

??

Anyone who can help me again would be a life saver :)

I also have this one ... if you're feeling brave:

Joe secured a loan of $15,000 three years ago from a bank for use toward his college expenses. The bank charges interest at the rate of 3%/year compounded monthly on his loan. Now that he has graduated from college, Joe wishes to repay the loan by amortizing it through monthly payments over 15 yr at the same interest rate.

Find the size of the monthly payments he will be required to make. (Round your answer to the nearest cent.)

2. x2-20x 100

3. 64 16x x2

4. 9x2 - 42x 49

Is anyone good at math word problems?

1)Triangles. That's the problem. It might be 8ft tall while standing, but when you tip the bookshelf onto its corner (to set it up) we have a right triangle, with sides 8ft and 1ft, making the total vertical length:
(8^2)+(1^2)=length^2 => length is 65^1/2 ft > 8 ft = ceiling height

2) Same triangle, different set up

(max height)^2 + 1^2 <= 8^2 ft

so max height = 63^1/2

so cut off 8-(63^1/2) ft from the legs.

(63^1/2 = square root 63, to clarify)

I need a math tutor ASAP!?

First start by asking your math teacher, and the college counselor. They may know someone, even another student or grad, who tutors, and they will likely be the least expensive options. Sometimes community centers have tutoring.

If that doesn't work, and it should, look at Craigslist with your parent.
CraigsList > los angeles craigslist > services offered > lessons & tutoring
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lss/ Search for: math tutoring

The UCs require that you get at least a C in all a - g classes, and once you fall behind in comprehending the work, it's easy for your grade to slip, so find a tutor quickly.

Good luck!

College algebra help need someone good at math?

Speed of the wind (w) in terms of speed of the plane (p)—2 equations:
4(p + w) = 600
p + w = 150
w = 150 - p

5(p - w) = 600
p - w = 120
w = p - 120

Speed of the plane—p:
150 - p = p - 120
2p = 270
p = 135

Speed of the wind—1st equation:
= 150 - 135
= 15

Answer: plane, 135 mph; wind, 15 mph
