Are Homestuck Meetups Fun

Can a 13 year old attend a Homestuck Meetup?

Hi.
I'm 13 and a fan of Homestuck. I really wanted to go to a Homestuck meetup but I feel like I will be picked on or excluded for being younger... I was thinking of going to a Meetup with my friend of the same age, and we would probably cosplay. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience about meetups and maybe the average age of the people attending. Thanks~ n.n

Anime meetups in Oklahoma?

I feel like I'm alone where I am in this state of Oklahoma. Is there any anime (specifically cosplay) meetups near Moore or Oklahoma City? I know about TNT and Izumicon and had fun last year, but is their any meetups? I like Hetalia,Homestuck,OHSHC,Death Note,Sgt. Frog and pretty much everything else. Just had to ask if I wasn't the only one :3

Homestuck Skin Paint?

I do homestuck cosplaying!! When I need to change my skin color for any cosplay, I use airbrushing:

I use airbrushing for waist up (whatever the clothing isn't covering). And for whatever is below my waist, I use somewhat see-through gray tights. Something like this:

I'm actually going to be cosplaying as Feferi at supercon in Miami, Florida this summer! :D

Any homestuck fans in orlando florida?

I saw alot of meetups going on, and I thought it would be kinda cool to have one in the Orlando area
I'm talking about Altamonte Springs,Longwood,Heathrow,Lake Mary,Apopka,Oviedo, etc. etc.
i mean in the other major/well known cities they all have meet ups, so why can't we!!
i'm not really saying i'm going to start it just yet but atleast see if anyone is interested.
Don't worry so much about being awkward, or shy because i'm sure some of us will be, we'll be meeting new people right?:3 it's just for fun. anyways,IF YOU ARE INTERESTED email: homestuckorlando@live.com
If you know anyone else in the area or near us that also has a meet up, feel free to email too so that maybe we can have one big group. We can also use this as a contact service or so IF you want too. Like make a pesterchum buddie list to send it out to have others to talk to or a twitter to be informed (NO phone numbers will be given unless you privately do that among yourselves)
I guess you can say this is also a fanclub.
Haha anyways xD just seeing

Is it okay to go to a anime convention alone?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with going to a con alone. Oh, since Homestuck is a fairly interactive fandom, there are probably a lot of places where you can find out if other Homestucks are attending the con. Tumblr's a good place to start; if you post saying you're going to this or that con and you want to hang out with fellow homestucks, you'll get responses. If the con has a website, there might also be forums on there where people plan unofficial meetups and get-togethers for fans/cosplayers of specific series. Try looking there. Sometimes, also, facebook has groups for Homestucks living or attending cons in a particular state (example: Washingtonstuck.) If you find one for Alaska, you can post there to see if anyone else would be attending the con :) Even if you don't plan anything beforehand, people are generally pretty cool about letting others hang out with them.
Have fun and be safe at con!

First anime convention?

I recommend going to Anime Conji first, because Anime Expo is the biggest anime convention outside of Japan and it's quite a handful, it might be overwhelming for someone who has never gone to a con. But the choice is up to you.
Conventions have a ton of stuff to do. You could even just sit in the hallway all day talking to passerby or taking pictures of cosplayers and have a blast (which is cool if you're waiting in line for several hours). There are panels, Q&A sessions with famous guests, workshops, anime screenings, autograph handouts, tons of shopping (the dealer's hall in Anime Expo is so big you can't see the opposite end if you're standing against a wall), cosplay meetups (Homestuck ones are huge), concerts, and so much more. There's so much to do it's easy to forget about basic human needs and get dehydrated while running around, since people are usually busy having so much fun. If you go to the convention's website they should tell you a bit of what to expect at the con and you can look up old schedules from previous years to get an idea of what programming they'll have.
