Flat towing in california?

Law: http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/calawq...

The law talks about the brakes your Rodeo, about the brakes of trailers, of the connection of the drawbar and chains and hitch that will allow you to flat tow the other car. But you do not *legally* need use the towed car's brakes.

For safety? How far will you be towing and how fast?

When my 5,000 pound '76 LTD died I took my drawbar, clamped to the car's bumper, hitched to my 6,000 pound '77 K2500. Was *interesting* -- my truck's brakes were complaining. I also had a set of magnetic lights on a 25' cable to slap lights on the back of the LTD. Only a few miles on city streets.

For long distance, you will probable will want brakes on the towed vehicle and some way of connecting the towed vehicle's lights. There is also the question of the powertrain of the towed vehicle.

Personally, for anything over 10 miles, I would have a open car trailer to carry the car.

I am looking for rental properties that accept section 8 in Wake County North Carolina.?

I have worked with my caseworker & obtained good information, but the rental properties are either unavailable at this time or in a not so great neighborhood. Is anyone familiar with private owners that would be willing to try section 8. I understand there is a stereotype associated with this program, but I am looking for somewhere peaceful, low crime & affordable.
