Is this PC good for MInecraft?
Ok so I have this "Gaming PC" called dell XPS studio 1340, and my specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 / 2.4 GHz Dual-Core RAm 4 GB (max 8) Graphics processor NVIDIA GeForce 9400M - 256.0 MB GDDR3 SDRAM Yeah thats about it, also this PC was one of the top best 10 gaming laptops in 2010, but minecraft 1.6.2 just lags like hell, sometimes I get 1 fps, or other days 79 or so how can I get at least 100 so I can record with fraps (NOTE I HAVE ALL MY MINECRAFT SETTING TO THE LOWEST) but sometimes I play LOL (League of legends) with 200 fps, please help I already gave a whole GPU to minecraft and like 3 GB of RAM!!!! And I don't know if getting a new macbook pro!
Can someone give me a good list of specs for a gaming pc i should build?
my budget is around $400 or a bit more on a gaming pc i want to build. I wanted to use the potato masher but couldn't get a cheap list, because it was more than 150 bucks than it actually is could've been (350). So i want someone to help me like by giving me a good list. Games i want to play - Minecraft (tons of mods including shaders) GTA V COD ETC. Acer Aspire 5755G Any good as a gaming laptop?
The specs would be fine for a gaming laptop providing you weren't using it for heavy gaming, although the graphics card will be a bottleneck. But I would highly advise against getting an Acer because although they have the best value for spec, they use poor quality parts which are likely to cause the computer to break down. I would recommend the £1,074 Dell XPS 17 on here http://www.dell.com/uk/p/xps-l702x/pd you wont have to pay the full amount because you can get vouchers for this laptop all the time from here http://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/dell.co.uk its usually 10% off vouchers on all XPS systems over £699. I use it and the quality of Dell laptops is far superior to Acer laptops. Mine is running great and the keyboard is the best laptop keyboard I have ever used. Make sure to get the Recovery CD with the laptop, it allows you to reinstall windows if you need to and its definitely worth it if you have a problem.

It isn't a game that requires too much, but I would recommend to have a dedicated GPU, 4 GB of Ram, some room for files (And mods if you intend on doing so), and an average CPU. I would assume that you could run it, because most computers come with 2-4GB for the most part and their isn't too much of a demand on the CPU and GPU, because most factory built computers come with decent specs. It's trial and error, so try to download it and see if it works.
