Asiatic Lion Vs Bengal Tiger . King Of India Big Cat

Bengal Tigers Vs Siberian tigers?(physical fight) who would win?

"Tigers can, and do actually fight for extended periods, though indeed, it is rather rare. Most usually, the fight is over rather quickly, with both animals neglecting the use of their jaws, as a way of avoiding too serious an injury, which is important for an animal which must supply for itself. An injured tiger is no good. But, in a serious fight...it is too tough to call...they both are roughly the same animal, with but slight differences.

But, i would give it to the bengal tiger, as they are likely more aggressive, due to their more closely nit lifestyle."

Here is a video that shows the fight

Answering your 2nd question:

It is most likely a bengal tiger as the siberian tiger usually have more fur near the head and neck to help them to fight the cold.

Why is the tiger India's national animal? Why not lion?

First, let me state upfront,  no beast is greater or lesser than the other. But the lion, majestic as he is — lacks national character, given his very limited range has been confined to a small part of Saurashtra in Gujarat — the Gir National Park, and increasingly its surrounds. Once upon a time, its range extended over northern India, in the east it extended up to Bihar, with the Narmada river marking the southern limit, till it was exterminated by hunting. The last wild Asiatic lion was reported outside Saurashtra in the 1890s.A national animal by its very definition must have a wide range in our country, it must be familiar to its citizens, representative of its varied ecosystems, rooted in our culture — part of our lore. The tiger is all of it, and more. Saving the tiger has earned India the position of a pioneering leader in conservation. The tiger today is a beloved symbol of the country, has spanned a business around its tourism, and serves as India's brand ambassador.

Which is bigger lion or tiger?

Tigers and Lions are the biggest species of the cat family. The biggest among the tigers is the Siberian or the Amur tiger found in the Russian forests and the biggest among the lions is the African lion (there is another species of lions called Asiatic lions mainly found in forests of Gujarat, Gir forests, but they are a little smaller than their African counterparts and have a thinner mane but females appear the same). An average tiger is 15 to 25% bigger than the lion. The second biggest tiger species is the Royal Bengal Tiger found in the Indian sub continent. Comparatively it is about 10% smaller than the Siberian tiger but still bigger than an African lion. An African lion may look bigger due to its height and its mane makes it look even bigger but if you weigh an adult tiger and an adult lion of any region, the tiger will always outweigh the lion. The size difference really doesn't matter when these mighty cats collide. They are almost an even match and almost equally strong and brutal.Since tigers are physically larger than the lions, they are stronger, have bigger fangs and claws and their biting force is much higher than the lions. Natural conflicts between these cats is uncommon as they live in different regions. The only known fights have occurred in zoos, parks and circuses where they are kept beside each other by humans. Otherwise these cats are from different dimensions. The image below is a comparison between an African lion and a Royal Bengal tiger. You will notice that the lion is taller however, the tiger has more body mass. The habitat and the diet play an important role in their size. Here is the size comparison between a Siberian/Amur tiger and a Royal Bengal Tiger. Extreme cold weather in the region makes the Siberian tiger more furry and its body stores more fat to balance scarcity of prey at times. And here is the difference between an Asiatic lion and an African lion. The African lion is slightly bigger and also has a thicker mane. The females of both these species are identical. Conclusion: Tigers are slightly bigger than the lions.
