Is Public Administration a good major?
I have Associate degree in liberal arts, I'm moving on to 4 year college I'm interested in public administration, History, criminal justice and even a couple business majors. How is the job market for getting an BA in public adminstration I though of doing that and minoring in a business field.

Before I went to law school I majored in economics. That was a long time ago though. As a practicing lawyer I am not impressed when someone had an undergrad. major of political science. It is viewed by many as being a "soft" major with little substantive learning. I have never heard of majoring in "public administration". If I were you I'd major in business. It is a very practical major that has a lot of real world learning and applicability. That would impress me much more if I was reviewing your resume.
Is a public administration degree worth the time?
If you want to be mayor, city treasurer, city administrator this degree would be fine for education and non-profit careers - this would not be the type of degree you would want to pursue.
Is a Masters in Public Administration a good degree, is the job market good?
I recently got accepted into a MPA school in florida, because i enjoy business, and would like to do something in this field. BUt before i start the program I was wondering if anyone has Masters in this field, and what was it like finding a job, is it a program in demand? WIll i be able to find a job?

My wife is getting a masters in Public Administration, but she is getting disheartened by her friends earning money while she just spends it. Will it pay off in the end or would it be better to earn experience in a certain field?
