Can I Take My Earrings Out

Can I take my earrings out and clean them after only 3 days of them being pierced?

NO ABSALOTLY NOT!!!! the reason you have to leave them in for two weeks is because you just had a hole punched thro your skin and your ear has to have time to regrow the skin in a new pattern, if you take the earring out the hole will be to small to fit it back in and then you will have to wait for your ears to heal and then get them pearst again. Just start cleaning them more often. I had to start cleaning mine six to seven times a day untill they compleatly healed.

Can I take my earring out for a day?

I got my ears pierced sometime around last Christmas (like December 26) and I'm still wearing my starter earrings. Today my left earring stud fell into the sink while I was taking them out (I take them out and put them back in once in a while to make sure they aren't stuck), and now I'm not quite sure what to do. Would it be a problem if I just take out my left earring and see if I can get a replacement at the piercing studio tomorrow afternoon? Can I take it out for at least overnight while I'm sleeping? Because I'm afraid the earring without the stud would get caught in my quilt or something while I'm sleeping. And also, is it good to be still wearing starting earrings now? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Can I take my earrings out a day earlier?

I want to take out my begin earrings a day earlier than the recommended 6 weeks, so i can wear the earrings a friend gave me.
I wonder if that's OK. I just don't want my holes to heal shut.
Ok, thanks!

Can i take my Earrings off after 4 months?

Well here is what i used to do when i had short hair after I got mine pierced. I got my ears pierced but i worked at a place I couldn't wear earrings (lame I know), but I would take my earrings out and and put little spacers in...I can't remember what they call them. They do have them at Hot Topic though, well they used to when i got them. They basically look like a clear "tube" that is supper tiny. It fills the hole of your piercing until you can put your earrings back in. They are hardly noticable at all.

How long till i can take my earring out?

If you take care of it good enough then you should be fine. But here's another thing you can do if you're not too sure. Take it out when you need to but keep the ring with you, and every once in a while through the week just put the jewelry back in for a second to re-open it and make sure it's not closed and you should be fine. And maybe if you can put the ring back in when you go to sleep. 4 weeks should be good enough, but 6 is recommended. I have tons of ear piercings and they were all fine when I did that sort of thing, so just try it.

Can you take off your earrings the day you got them pierced, like when taking a shower?

Sorry to say but it is absolutely essential to leave them in at all times for 6 weeks! The reason I know is that when I was in my early 20's & had them done, I always looked for ways to cheat & not play by the rules..so, by about week 4, couldn't resist & removed one. Well its a good thing it was just one! To this day 30+ yrs later that ear always closes up unless I keep an earring in it regularly! The other one's fine. Also have a hard time getting a thicker post in at first & apply alcohol first. That helps. .

Can you take your starter earrings out after 2 weeks?

Ok 50% (at least) of the questions about piercings are “can I take them out/change them after x amount of time”. What did the professional say when you got them pierced? And I know they told you. They told you when and how to clean and with what soaps. They told you how long to wait before changing them and or removing them for any length of time. The PROFESSIONAL that you trusted to put a hole in your body told you what you needed to know. So think real hard. Or if they gave you an information card go dig it out of the trash or out from under the seat of your moms soccer car. You decided you were adult enough to make this decision. Now be adult enough to use the common sense you have and the knowledge you gained when the piercing was done and think, does two weeks sound like enough time for my body to recover from being impaled and having a metal rod left in it?In case you’re still uncertain. The answer to the above question is no. No you cannot change them after only two weeks. You must wait a minimum of 6–8 weeks before removing/changing the jewelry. Also. Make sure to wash hands and piercings thouroughly with antibacterial soap and warm water to prevent infection. If you think an infection has set in do NOT remove the jewelry but see a doctor so they may prescribe antibiotics. If you remove infected jewelry you risk sealing an infection under the skin which could then travel to your blood stream and cause sepsis. Which is deadly. Wash your ears multiple times a day and be careful to not catch them on anything such as clothing or bedding as it could tear the new piercing.

What happens if you take your earrings out when you just got them pierced?

In short they will close up. How quickly they do all depends on when you take them out. If you hypothetically took them out right after you pierced them the holes will close within minutes if not seconds. If you waited you might have a little more time but it would become difficult to re insert the earring rather quickly. If you plan on keeping your ear piercings (which you most definitely should I might add, as everyone given the opportunity to have pierced ears should be grateful and keep them, lol) then you should keep your starter earrings in for four weeks before changing them, and when you do change them do it quickly. It’s not until a few months after the piercing that you can keep them out for an extended period of time without running a significant risk of them closing up.
