Can I Travel From The Uk To The Usa By Plane Unaccompanied

I want to travel to Europe as an unaccompanied minor since I am under 18, what are the terms and conditions for such process?

How far under 18 are you? This is going to matter in terms of airlines. Depending on the airline (and your age), you may need to pay for minor accompaniment. This is an example from Delta, but basically if you're under 14 you are required to pay for it; if you're between 15-17, it's optional. This entirely depends on the airline, though. You will need to do research on the particular carrier you're traveling with. Unaccompanied Minor (UMNR) Service Also, your legal guardian is 100% on board with this, right? If you're under 18 you can't buy a plane ticket, and you can't travel internationally alone without permission. All of these hoops are basically to repeatedly prove that your guardian is giving permission for you to do this.In order to ensure that you don't have any problems, the smartest thing to do is have your legal guardian contact your chosen airline direct (call them), explain the situation and book a nonstop flight from Country A to Country B through them. Do not go through third-party sites like Expedia/Priceline. If you absolutely must have a layover, it's easier to do it in your home country. For instance, if you are American, it's easier to go Boston-NYC-London rather than Boston-Paris-London. Airlines do not want to be responsible for losing a minor overseas. Also, make sure that you have a round-trip ticket. In terms of paperwork, you should definitely have a notarized copy of permission for your international travel.  This is a sample letter from the US government. It says that notarizing is optional, but you really should have it notarized just to avoid any misunderstandings. It's worth $10. Your legal guardian has to sign it. (Again, repeated permission.)Other than that, make sure that your passport is up to date. Double check to make sure you don't need a visa (I don't know where you're from). Make sure that you have your initial travel plans set - you don't have to have everything hammered out, but British immigration will want to know the address of where you're staying when you land (they'll give you a card on the plane to fill out). It's advisable to show up to the airport well-dressed and put together. Appearance means a lot, and a calm and collected 16-year-old in understated clothing with organized paperwork is going to get a better response from officials than somebody wearing ripped jeans and a "F-- Tha Police" t-shirt who shoves a wad of crumpled paper at border control.

Are unaccompanied minors allowed to enter the USA?

Yes, under certain circumstances. See more here: Traveling with children - Minors under 18 years of age traveling to another country without their parents

Are you allowed to travel alone, by plane, at 17?

You definitely are allowed.

If you're under a certain age, you're supposed to fly as an unacompanied minor, and most airlines give you the option to do that if you're under 18 but over the age for which it's required. The age requirements can vary by airline, but it's usually under 12 for domestic flights, or under 14 for international flights.

If you fly as an unaccompanied minor, you pay an extra fee, you have to have an adult hand you over to the airline at one end and pick you up at the other, a flight attendent walks you to your seat when you get on the plane and down the jetway when you get off, and if you have any connections, you'll be supervised by airline employees the entire time. All in all, it sucks, and I'd strongly recommend you NOT fly as an unaccompanied minor if you don't have to (which you won't since you're 17). For that matter, even if you were under 12, you can usually get away with not telling them you're an unaccompanied minor when you buy the ticket or check in, and just getting on and off the plane by yourself.

Anyhow, at 17, you can fly by yourself just like any adult. You just buy your tickets, show up at the airport the day of your flight, get on the plane, get off at the other end, and that's that. Even if you're traveling internationally it's still fine. You'll have to go through customs when you get there, but you're allowed to go through by yourself as a minor.

Can i travel by myself on a plane if im 16???

I don't think you can be sold a ticket if you are under age 18 without permission from your parent or guardian. But once you have the ticket, it is certainly fine for you to fly unaccompanied.

Right. I just checked it out, and you can not knowingly purchase or be sold a plane ticket if you are under 18, and if you purchase one, it will be considered a Federal crime, and a fraudulent transaction. If you are a legally emancipated minor, then you can, but you must prove your status with your court order.

In the UK, can minors (14-17) enter pubs unaccompanied by adults to eat (not to drink)?

Depends on the pub. Some pubs are strictly over-18 service only (although this is more likely for bars). Many pubs have two rooms - a family room and an over-18 room. I’m sure a couple of young teenagers could go into the family room of my local pub for a bowl of chips and a fizzy drink if they wanted to.(I may check that when I’m next in there.)

Unaccompanied 16 year old flying on JetBlue Airlines Domestic U.S flight?

You will I.D you are correct when checking in at the Jet Blue counter and also at TSA which is he security checkpoint they will confirm you it says you are on your boarding pass after security you will no longer need to have it. As far as boarding make sure you are at the correct gate for your flight and listen for the boarding call its best to ask any questions that might come up such as is the flight delayed or ontime. Unless you state to the airline that you are flying as a minor . The airline will look at you regardless of being 16 yrs. Old as a regular passenger. However that doesn't mean you cant ask for help in any situation you come across while flying. You are on a direct flight which will make everything very easy . The only issue that could come up is , Where the flight comes from before picking you up? Which means delays .

Can a 17-year-old travel alone to the USA?

Yes, minors are allowed to travel to the US by themselves. Here are the two options:Your parent(s)/guardian(s) may arrange unaccompanied minor (UM) service with an airline. However, there must be somebody dropping you off and picking you up at the airport. With a legal formal letter of permission from your parents, you can travel to the US without using the UM service. Just make sure you bring it and show it at the Border Control. Although not necessary, it is best that somebody picks you up to reassure the Border Control agent that you will not be completely on your own!NB: It also depends on where you are starting your journey from. Certain countries, like South Africa, require its underage citizens (or any underage passengers) and their parents/guardians to submit certain documents (e.g. a copy of your birth certificate) prior to boarding the flight.
