Can Packages Delivered Through Usps Be Left At The Door Instead Of The Mailbox

Will the USPS deliver a package to my door if, in the address line 2, I say "deliver to front door"? The USPS sometimes delivers to my door if the package is large.

Carriers have to be quick and efficient. If you want it at your door but it fits in your box the carrier will be the deciding factor. If they strive more for efficiency they will bring it to your door. If they strive more for speed, they will put it in your box. Leaning one way or the other will make one of these qualities suffer. That is why most people get the wrong mail in their box because speed is the most prized quality in an employee.

Does USPS deliver to your door or your mailbox?

PLEASE HELP! I recently bought a vape pen off of eBay, without my parents knowledge. it is being shipped with US Postal Service in first class mail, and I want to know if it will be shipped to my door or my mailbox. I bought two bottles of liquid, and a vape pen. they will be in the same box, I don't see why they wouldn't fit in my mail box. I live in a condo, and we have small mailboxes with a bigger one below for packages. so please please please help. is this something that will be left at my door? or do I need to sign? or will it be taken back to the post office for me
to pick up? or will they just leave it in my mailbox? PLEASE help. and please be serious and not rude. I am 15 years old.

Will my amazon packages be delivered to my mailbox or door?

It will be shipped via regular postal mail service and since each item is small, it's likely they'll be put into your mailbox.

Does USPS deliver to your mailbox or your door?

im not home right now and i got a notice on my phone telling me that something i ordered off of amazon is in my cities post office as of 9:30 am, it's 12:39pm now.
i'm assuming that what i ordered is not so large that it would not fit in a mailbox but then again i have been sent small items that have been delivered straight to my door via UPS.

I'm just wondering if it will be delivered to my door or put in my mailbox and also if my mail doesn't arrive at my house until 4pm what are the chances that my items will be delivered today.

Does the USPS deliver packages at your door?

If the item will fit in your mailbox, it will go in your mailbox. If it won't, it will depend on the type of apartment complex you live in and how secure it is. My experience with apartment complexes is that they are either townhouse-style where a resident has their own private entrance, or it is an apartment building with a common entrance.

If I feel the situation is secure, I will leave the package by the resident's door. If I don't trust the security, I will leave a notice of attempted delivery in the mailbox. Where that common entrance is locked and only residents can enter (and I have a key), I will attempt to deliver the item by ringing/knocking.

Even if the outer door is locked, some apartment complexes are of a transient nature and renters come and go, often without leaving address changes. Such settings suggest irresponsible people, and in such settings, the risk of theft is much greater. I will not leave anything sitting out in places like this. UPS is taking a big risk when they do.

USPS said that my package is delivered at my front door/porch But I don't see the package. What do I do?

first you need to contact the post office assigned to your area ASAP just in case there’s a misdelivery it can be corrected if possible. The new scanner USPS use now has a gps tracking on it so if the carrier followed the proper procedure and scanned it in front of your doorstep they will see it in the system. Now if your package was stolen you can file a case the only issue here is package is if it is a standard mail the chances of you getting a refund is slim to none. USPS offers a variety of service that has insurance base or assurance base for example if the sender mailed using a certified mail the package requires signature by the addressee and can’t be released without the actual presence of the addressee.

Does USPS deliver to the door or to the mailbox? 10 points!?

I have to packages out for delivery right now and they're both coming on the same truck. FedEx originally had it but it said they gave it to the post office. So anyways one is a curling iron which could probably fit in the mail box, and the other one is a box with two backpacks in it. I don't think the backpacks will fit in the mailbox so will they deliver it to my door? I live in a small town and a very safe neighborhood. 10 points to the best answer.

If I request that FedEx or UPS deliver packages to my doorstep, is the delivery person permitted to leave the packages at the mailbox at the end of my long driveway and disregard my request?

You may request a delivery location of your choice. If it is not quickly accessible it will most likely not be a granted request. On average a driver is granted 17 seconds to park, locate, deliver and disembark from your location. These people are on much tighter schedules then you can imagine.Your request is just that — a request. The driver assumes responsibility for releasing your package to you. If he or she deems a location safe from theft (an awful lot of variables involved in that determination besides the couple your thinking about or your “request"), then he or she will and should do just that.Don't post signs at the front door requesting delivery to the garage in the alley 200 feet away. Dont post signs asking delivery to the rear door 100 feet away. Dont post signs asking delivery behind a fence that may have a dog — it has a dog as far as that person is concerned. The driver always has complete delivery control of location. You may only suggest where you would prefer the package to be left. The only thing a driver cannot legally do is to choose a mailbox as a location, but below it or anywhere else on your property is completely game.If you want your packages in a specific location then that location MUST be in the fastest and easiest location for the driver to deliver to. And now your thinking, but I am the customer and “I get to choose" and demand where things go. So let's correct that also. You ordered a package and that does make you valuable. But you are not a customer - you are an end location. Customers ship things. Locations receive them.

Since when does UPS leave packages in your mailbox?

I was expecting a package to be delivered to my door by UPS, but when I went to my rural mailbox to get my USPS mail late in the day, I found that the UPS package I was expecting (from Amazon) was in my mailbox. I've never had that happen before and want to know what's up.
