Can sinus infection cause severe pain in lower teeth sockets?

I started having severe pain in my right lower teeth sockets yesterday. Today I woke with some ear pain and slight sore throat. The severe pain (a cross between throbbing and stabbing pain) in my lower right teeth sockets continues to worsen.

What is the cause of this pain near my jaw?

Hello,
An ear infection can cause this. Does it hurt if you put pressure on your ear? Also a sore tooth can make your jaw hurt. If you get really bad allergies and your sinuses are swollen, that can also make your jaw hurt. So can a sinus infection. If it hurts that badly, I'd just go to the doctor and get it over with. Every thing I've mentioned will need treatment for it to feel better. There are a few more things I can thing of that can affect your jaw, like getting slapped in the face! But that might even need to be seen by a doctor. I'd go to the doctor. Being in pain is no fun. Hope this helps

Can wisdom teeth cause sinus problems, migraines and dizziness?

From personal experience, yes! Not only can wisdom teeth cause sinus problems, so can any of your upper jaw teeth, if the roots are long enough, they can invade or encroach on the sinuses themselves. As in my case, I would get chronic sinusitis that would make my teeth ache, on one occasion I had an infected tooth root as a companion to the sinusitis. Solution!? six, yep SIX teeth with a root canal!!! It helped a little more with each tooth. But by far the most improvement I had, was having all four, impacted wisdom teeth removed. They had started affecting the orientation of my other teeth, & one was getting infected. Dear lord!!! The pain from that made me nauseous, like morning sickness, & it gave me dizzying headaches & generally put me off living fully. As soon as I had them removed, I felt about a billion times better. (Only mild hyperbole…) Believe it or not, even my fuzzy brain processes, cleared up. I know! But it’s true! When my brain was able to stop compensating for pain and re focus, on being in a less adrenaline charged state, constantly, that had barely been allowing me to function, on a daily basis. What I did manage, was clumsy, & through a cloud of pain.My entire thought process was, almost instantly, improved. My brain didn’t have to constantly try to out-wit my physical reaction to the pain any more. & it felt like I must have even seemed smarter & more coordinated, physically. It was indeed, worth the six weeks of soft foods & no seeds while recovering.Go see a dentist, a good one who’ll take good, and detailed images of your head. Then ask, if he will consult with you about your specific symptoms, & try to solve the causes of the issues you’re having. Don’t accept one, who just treats the symptoms.Best of luck to you!

What causes jaw pain when having a flu?

Jaw pain is more related to Sinusitis. When Flu is usually over, some people develop Bronchitis or Sinus issues. I am not a doctor but faced sinus issue right after flu this year. My jaw/teeth pain was killing me. I ended up getting Amoxicillin which caused mucus finally coming out which was still stuck after steam and using neti pot. Please see a doctor to get antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon.

Maxillary sinus infection = tooth pain = jaw pain = neck pain ?

I have been having the most excruciating right jaw and under my jaw (front neck) pain... lymph nodes in my neck and somewhat swollen. Though it was from a tooth I had work done on earlier this year because the tooth is still tender but dental xrays were neg. But the dentist claims the maxillary sinus is inflammed...but not sure if I buy the jaw and neck pain from that... No fever... What do u think?
