How long can you get banned from xbox live for calling someone a f*g?
You can't get banned. Trash talking is normal and is ok unless you said something racist or offensive. If u did do that then, I'd be banned for about 1-3 full days. Geez....5 year olds are really annoying and then they think there xbox moderators LMAO!
Someone threatened to ban my Xbox live account?
I was playing a game in Halo Reach. I was in party chat and playing with my friend. We were playing grief ball. I never "trolled" the person nor started a fight. I was just trying to have a good time. At the end of the match I got 64 kills and 42 deaths (after 4 rounds of the game). Then I get a message from a very angry person. He said he had already called Xbox live and was giving them my gamer tag to ban because I was modding. But I never did. I can't even right a proper java program let alone mod an Xbox! Plus not only do i have a terrible k/d (i mean come on if i was a hacker wouldn't my k/d be like a 3.0 instead of 0.6?) I am a casual gamer not a hardcore gamer like this kid apparently is. His message was sorta like this: "You modding piece of sh**! I am calling Xbox and giving them your gamer tag. Hope this will teach you a lesson you f*****." Now I'm scared and pissed. Will I really get banned? This is the first time this has ever happened to me. Other times when I have gotten like 50 kills in grief ball other people don't say anything...maybe like a good game or something. Can I report this guy? I'm new to this whole thing so what is the proper way to respond to this situation? I haven't responded back to the threat message for fear of provoking him further and making the situation worst as is.
How many complaints need to be filed to get banned from Xbox Live?
The way the Xbox Live Complaints system works is that complaints by many customers on one tag is hot-flagged by the system which is then forwarded to Xbox Live Support. The amount can vary on the severity of the complaint at hand so there is no actual number of complaints before it is hot-flagged. In most cases it is around 5-10 from a variety of gamer-tags aimed at just one user. You will not be banned instantaneously either, first it has to go up for a review from the Xbox Live Support and based on the data and timestamps of the complaints they will then pursue with sanctions such as Code of Conduct removal, Hacker titles, Removing gamer scores and to the very maximum Permanent Bans. In effect, if you know what you are doing is wrong you should stop. If people are harassing you, you should block communications and go into a fresh lobby/match. Xbox Live Complaints are only to be used on the very best severity and case of the issue at hand. It isn't a system where a certain amount of friends report one guy and he is then banned. I want to play GTA V Online on my Xbox 360, but every time I try to sign in it says "Your profile does not have the correct permissions to play online" or something along those lines. Is there any way to fix this?
Im not 100% certain but it sounds like you have parental permissions on. I could be wrong, but check your settings. It seems that you mights have it enabled and forgotten.Or it could be that or your account might be affected by xbox banning your account by hacking, or other rules being broken. What happens if someone reports you over xbox live?
Some random guy said he was reporting me for "cheating or tampering".I scored like 8000 in a game of Assassinate and somehow I killed him through a smoke bomb. He said he was reporting me for "tampering". After like 10 messages he said that he "reports many people and comes up with a good argument first". I said "so you harass other people also"? and he said "I prefer to sexual harass them in real life not through messages" and I said "wow that's sad..." What would happen if he does report me I didn't use any profanity/send voice messages I just responded to his and other than me scoring 8,000 in one game ( Which isn't even really good.) and right when I was about to kill him he through a smoke bomb and it still killed him. It didn't stop my person. So what would happen I'm really worried because I don't want to be banned/suspended for no reason. :(
Can I get in trouble for scamming someone on Xbox live?
OK, 1st off i got scammed a few weeks ago for 1600 MS points. I was kinda pissed so I made a second account and scammed some random guy (so i could get my points back) I'm kinda scared now that he will report me or something and get my xbox banned. And I was just wondering if I could get in trouble somehow if Microsoft tracks the points or something. I didnt really "steal" them, i just tricked him into sending me his MS point code.
