Can Someone Tell Me Of A Good Business Related Degree To Have

What can I do with a business degree?

The great thing about college is that it can launch a lifetime of learning about the world around you. After taking your basic educational requirements, you get to choose what you take.
There is a prejudice against those who do not have a college degree in the business world. It is like getting a certain type of badge in Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts. It is a rite of passage. People will tend to take you more seriously. The other side of it is what school did you go to? The California UC system is "better" than the CSU system. The Harvard's and the Yale degrees are thought of as being more prestigious. So there is granularity after just getting the "degree" and how it will be received. Bottom line: when you have a good idea, and execute it well, a degree will not be critical. But it can help you get to that "great idea".

You know a lot based on your current online business. What you need to learn is what you do not know. And we all get to that point of thinking that we know all that there is to know about something - but times change. Industries change and the study of all that is a help. There really are different layers of every type of work particularly when you plan to only work for yourself. Most likely you will need to hire others to make your time more profitable. There is important knowledge out there about hiring, firing and building a great team. I work for a finance company even though I majored in Social Welfare in College. Never thought in a million years I would work in the financial business, but it was an opportunity that came my way after years of being self-employed. I learn something new every day because the business does change. The co-workers change. I change. All is part of the mix in business.

One important aspect of business is how to forecast what is going to happen in your sector of business in the future and what you need to do now to be prepared.

Also, as you grow as a human, you will seek out new experiences so what you are involved with now, may not be what you do in the future. Most people have 3 or 4 careers in their lifetime.

Do most business owners have degrees?

I’m currently in school, but I don’t know if it’s really for me. I want to be a multi business owner. Should I stay in school to get my four year degree? Or just finish my AA & pursue my own businesses. I do not like working for other people, so I don’t want to graduate & get a job at someone else’s company. Do most business owners have degrees? Or is it unnecessary.

Business Degree? Is it worth it?

hahaha, seriously that is pretty funny! Some of the most well paid college grads end up graduating from business school...you can make a ton of money in many business related majors for example: finance, management, accounting, actuary, international business, HR management, and many others....good luck, go with entrepreneurship...try getting into a school like Babson college or Bryant University...both great east coast B-schools...

What can I do with a Music Business degree?

I have completed my basics and I decided to go with a Music Business degree. Can anyone tell me if it's worth it, could I get a good career with this degree? I'm unsure if I should continue on this path or not...

Business management degree?

Can anybody tell me the truth of what a degree in business management can get you? Whether it's a bachelor's or an associates degree. What is the starting wage? What are the jobs one can get?

I would also like to know what can you do with a degree in accounting or finance. Again starting wage, etc...

Which is better: an engineering degree or a business degree?

Pay scale depends on your luck(yeah that is a factor), communication skills, management skill etc.For the most 'ideal' future, you can follow the bandwagon, of finishing engineering and then doing an MBA in one of the IIMs (most go to Ahd). For better opportunities, Science stream is the best, as it widens your choices. But if you have even a single percent doubt, then do not go for it. If you are sure that you want to do engineering, then ask yourself why do you want to pursue it. Just because the 'smart' people do it, or because you have a passion for it?Warning: Once you land up in a field like Engineering with no interest, you will rot there. So think twice. Also, most CEOs of companies are engineers. So good luck!

Can someone do a double major in Business and English Literature?

I am very interested in English and Business and i would like to get both degrees in college. If this is possible and you know of any good accredited colleges that will let me do both and have good degree programs please let me know. Thank you for your input.

What is the best college degree for starting a business?

I got an undergraduate business degree and I can tell you that it won't help much in terms of starting a new business (It was a state school and definitely not top 100, so I cannot speak for other universities). You learn some terms, some basics of accounting and finance, and some other business jargon.I would advise you to get a degree in what you love or what will further help your future business and also take a couple entrepreneur classes. Read a lot of business books such as Amazon.com: The Lean Startup: How Today's Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses eBook: Eric Ries: Kindle Store or Amazon.com: The Art of the Start 2.0: The Time-Tested, Battle-Hardened Guide for Anyone Starting Anything eBook: Guy Kawasaki, Lindsey Filby: Kindle Store . Those are only a couple, there are many many others. Also, if possible, start your business now if you have the time. Develop a prototype and test the market. Get customer feedback and continue to tweak and improve until you have a product that people want and will pay for.

Could I Get Into Dental School With a Business Degree?

It's always been my dream to go to dental school, and I started out as a biochemistry major in college, but at the end of my freshman year I switched to business management. The reason being: If I don't get into dental school, I'll have business to fall back on.

If I do well in all the dental school pre-requisites, would the schools still consider me and take my application as seriously as someone with a science degree?
