Can Two New Drivers Be On One Insurance

Insurance. 2 cars, 1 driver.?

Your insurance company is insuring both you and your cars. You might have a cheaper rate if you get one policy with both cars than you would for two separate policies (one for each car). But ultimately, they are still covering all risks (you and the cars). A good example of this is if you let a family member or friend borrow one car for ONE MINUTE while you were driving the other car. They could get in an accident in the one minute. Actually, the cars parking brake could fail or the battery catch fire or any number of things while you are not in it. They are covering that risk. An alternative to that is to completely garage one car in your own private home and not let it move at all out onto the public streets. Then you could have your home owners insurance cover any liability claim. That way, you could just cover the car you are driving. That will mean that you will have to buy insurance month to month since you are flip-flopping cars. That may be more expensive than just having them covered the regular way. If you live in an apartment or other multifamily housing, or if you rent a house, you might not have this option since everywhere is a public place. Plus most complexes have rules about having uninsured, unregistered vehicles on their property for liability reasons as well as aesthetics.

New drivers (permit); what can save money on insurance?

Okay, new drivers in the family (got the permit today). Of course, DMV rats you out to Allstate, and Allstate charges a ton for insurance (Arm + Leg). Oh, two new drivers. So I'm looking for ways to show good character to Allstate or find a cheaper insurance.

Now, I know some basic things about Auto Insurance:
A) Good grades (above 3.0 gpa) can get a discount from some insurers (usually 10%). Have this.
B) I drive a moderate car (not SUV or sedan). Good condition.
C) The car will be shared between 2-3 young drivers. Since they can't all be in the car at once, I imagine this could reduce costs.
D) No criminal record and no disciplinary file at school.
E) In the Fall, Drivers Ed is offered. I understand that it also can reduce costs
F) Parents are responsible drivers (low insurance)

Who tends to be cheapest with Auto Insurance? Am I wrong in any of the above statements, and is there any other factors that can save money? Where is the best place to get a quote?

Thank you!

How much does car insurance cost for a 16 year old new driver?

You must be insured under your parent's policy. Boys cost more than girls, because they have more accidents. Students with high grades usually pay a lot less than average or poor students. Costs are figured by zip code, so have your mom, dad, or guardian call for rates.

Can someone else put insurance on my car?

This can be done... so yes she can. I have insured a car I do not own (my name is not on the title and more than one car) with more than one insurance company for over 20 years. For the know it alls information.. the insurance companies were and was all well aware of this.

(Thumb downer... want to put your money where your dumb mouth is?)

Do companies hiring delivery drivers verify insurance?

I have an interview for a delivery position coming up. I just got my car, and am currently looking into the best insurance company to go with but don't have one yet!! It'll probably be about two more weeks. Should I just tell them this?
